"I was just here and I felt like most of the women that worked there were very unwelcoming. Come on, you’re selling overpriced work out cothes and lounge wear. Maybe they were busy but no—maybe 4 other customers in the store. No one says Hello or Hi when you walk in. Only 1 lady helped me. She was nice but my goodness, her voice was so loud. The lady with short hair at the register just seemed uninterested. I felt like I was inconveniencing her. Maybe because I was returning an item? My first time at this store and my last."

"I realize being a “Karen”, that my opinions could be suspect but hear me out. I’ve gone to Athleta’s competitor, who shaLL remain nameless, on three occasions and had a miserable experience each time. The customer service was horrible. I all but begged for help, even pulling a “pretty woman” moment (“I have all this money to spend and no one will help me”) and I still was made to feel like a second class citizen. Fast forward to today when I was introduced to Athleta. I walked into a store, equally as busy, as the aforementioned, equally as desirable clothing. The big difference? Gold star customer service!!!! I was approached by Sam, who clearly had plenty to keep her busy, but still managed to make eye contact and ask if I needed help. When I gave her a “that’s ok, I don’t see what I’m looking for” answer, she stopped and talked to me. Assessed my situation and didn’t leave my side until she found a solution. In this case that meant finding the described item (although they were sold out of the color I was looking for), having me try on the item (in a different color) to ensure my sizing was right, then calling around to other stores until she found what I was looking for in the appropriate size and desired color and setting me up to have the item sent to my home. Well done Sam. This experience alone will guarantee that my credit card and I return to Athleta for many future purchases. I want to add that although I dealt directly with Sam, the other employees in this store, as well as, the person I spoke to on the phone at a different location were all equally as wonderful to deal with. You’re competitor could definitely take a LLesson in customer service from you. Thank you Athleta."
