"DON’T RENT HERE, there is nothing luxury about this place except the lobby. I lived here over 7 years, same problems other apartments have but worse. It was so nice back then, but this place has majorly gone down hill. I only stayed for the location but wish I had moved our years ago. Lack of communication with management was always a problem. No security, no cameras, easy access to get into building when it’s advertised as a gated, controlled building. I had two situations where my door was opened to complete strangers while I was in the apartment because they got the apartment number wrong, once when I had just gotten out of the shower. I also came home one day from work to my door wide open after a fire inspection because the manager didn’t close it. Gates were always broken, cars broken into, no parking for handicap guests, broken door handles, constant issues with my AC, etc. They spend $$ on events bringing in lots of people that don’t live there crowding the garage and lobby. They just put a band-aid on everything when broken. Also, I received a bogus charged for cleaning which I was told I would be reimbursed back 3 months ago and still nothing!! Stay away, there are nicer places in the area. Don’t let them fool you when they are super nice in leasing. Once you lease, you won’t be able to talk to anyone and when you do, most agents were rude. Update: Contacted management like they suggested per their response to this post. Still no response. The compassionate replies are all just to look good to the public, not to actually rectify the situation."

"We moved into the Carter on November 29. The building feels like a five star hotel. But what makes a great place is the people . I have to say the Carter has some very professional and friendly staff. From Angelina and Pedro to the amazing people at the concierge desk. It has been a wonderful experience . My wife and daughter have committed on the friendly staff and beautiful building . They feel life we are living in a five start hotel. The location is perfect, with restaurants , stores and medical facilities very close to the cater. If you truly want to live in a luxury and classy apartment , you can’t go wrong with the Cater"

"Just completed moving to The Carter. What an amazing experience!! Pedro (the leasing agent) gave me the tour and I was immediately sold! He was so professional , accommodating and personable! What an amazing and beautiful property! My apartment faces the SW Fwy at the 527 spur. I was concerned about freeway noise. What a surprise…I could not hear any traffic!! Great soundproofing and I’m guessing double pane windows. Apartment was immaculately clean upon move-in.also, soooo many drawers and cabinets! I’ll never be able to fill them up:))) The concierge ladies, Stefany and Kelly, are so friendly and professional! Extremely welcoming and prompt to notify if any packages were delivered. And they always greet everyone upon entering the lobby. On my second day here, I requested maintenance for a minor issue. George was so prompt, knowledgeable, patient and professional! He went over and above, answering some other questions I had regarding other items in my apartment. On another note, in decades of apartment life and numerous properties, The Carter blows away all the other places I’ve lived! Great job!!!"

"The Carter is a great place to stay so far. Location is great & building itself is very nice. But its the staff who have made this place so great. Ive gotten the chance to work with most of the leasing agents, who have all been amazing, (S/o Pedro & Mari) but Angelina Donis is her. Shes made being here feeel super welcoming since day one & shes been so helpful throughout the whole moving process it just made things so easy."

"Attention all TMC healthcare workers, this is my scooter that takes me from home to work in 8 minutes. We moved here last month and so far, we are super happy with the location, amenities, our neighbors, and the Bar we have here. Yes, there's a complimentary full Bar with bartenders in the lobby that serves the residents every weekend. Office staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. Pedro and Marie have helped us with all our questions or issues, and they're very responsive. There are many restaurants and bars within a 5-minute radius of us, and HEB is 4 minutes away. I highly recommend The Carter, mainly if you work at the medical center."
