Crowne Plaza Houston Med Ctr-Galleria Area, an IHG Hotel

"Just stayed for one night on a business trip. Did not use the bar, restaurant or health facilities. Clean, everything worked, checkin superior quality personnel. Room was large with a good work desk and power at waist level for electronics. Will return. Recommended for business travel."

"Great location. The hotel itself...not so much. The heater in the room didn't work and it was freezing cold that night. The best they could offer was "more blankets". It was cold and uncomfortable the entire night. Wouldn't recommend."

"Very run down place. Old rooms so carpet stinks. First room, the water was leaking under the under. They did change our room right away. The next room we got, water was blocking in the tub. They did fix it when we complain. Also there was no trash bin in the room."

"I’ve emailed two managers. The one that oversees the rooms didn’t really seem to care. The one that oversees the security guards has not even bothered to reply. Worst hotel experience ever. The security guard bob was the rudest most unprofessional person I have ever had to deal with. Made me feel super uncomfortable and not safe. Not to mention he didn’t even look like a security guard he was wearing normal clothes, that’s a safety issue for a woman how was I supposed to know that’s what he really was. Banging on our door at 5am because my husband forgot his key card and I was asleep and didn’t answer my phone to let him in. He was stuck outside the hotel in the dark from 3am to 5am what if he had been injured? That’s another safety issue. No one would give him another key EVEN THOUGH HE PAID FOR THE ROOM, and they could see that. Do better get better staff. Don’t stay here. You would be better off staying at a days in than here."

"Unfortunately this was the hotel of choice for business meeting for our company summit. We had to be moved because AC didn’t work. No fridge in our room either. We had maintenance attempt to service but it could not be fixed. We were moved to a new room. When we asked for assistance to move to the new room they were short staffed so we couldn’t get a luggage cart to help us move to the new room. We got a new room where the AC worked and a fridge!! However the issue was that the shower was too hot and difficult to adjust to the right temperature. Imagine how we took a shower. The rooms were clean but no extra blankets available. Breakfast is $18 and decent. Front desk staff is friendly and willing to help. The hotel overall could use some updating. And fix your AC and showers. Also add ice machines to each floor!! And your elevator Is incorrect on which floor Your on! Elevator clock is off by one floor. Your room numbers are off On your phone. Check room 1016! The phone has 1015."
