"To the owner, CHANGE THE MANAGEMENT!!! If you're going to allow this type of management in this property, you will always have bad reviews. Doesn't look good especially this apartment only been here for a little bit over a year now. Not only that they're lazy to do and checked the applications but also so unorganized and unprofessional!!! They made me come back at this place at least twice a week for over a month period of time because they're always missing something. If you're going to work in this type of field. Love your job!"
"RUN FROM THIS PLACE! The only good thing about this place is the location and how nice the apartments are. Everything else is TERRIBLE. Let me start by saying they will tow anybody even if you’re a resident and have a permit to park here. My car got towed after 10 months of living here with no issues, my parking pass didn’t expire for another 3 months but still was towed so I went to the leasing office to ask them why I was towed, I spoke with Essie the most unprofessional women I’ve ever spoken to. She said she could not do anything about them towing a registered car so she gave me corporates number to call and once I asked her name she started raising her voice saying it’s none of my business to know her name so I grabbed one of her business cards off her desk and she went nuts yelling at me to leave her office and called the police on my boyfriend for criminal trespassing… anywho, You have to register your visitor to park on the property but when you try to register the spots are all reserved for visitors online but the parking lot is open… they closed the trash chutes for a month with no warning because people were putting boxes in the trash room and they wanted us to drag it all the way down to the dumpsters. Upon moving in my dish washer didn’t work considering this is a brand new apartment and it took them months to fix. Also not even 3 months living here my fridge filter went out and I was expected to replace it for $60. The elevator is ALWAYS broken but this is a new apartment? . They closed the pool with NO warning because somebody didn’t clean the grill… it’s June 100 degrees outside… the management is terrible absolutely horrible. I do not recommend living here"
"Nope! You are not alone! It was literally illegal what they were doing to my application. The manager, Maria, was the most unprofessional person there! I had a previous landlord that I took to court for scamming the Covid-19 rental program that I signed up and was approved. They were in touch with him and he gave false information that they believed although I kept all of my rental payment receipts that went directly into his bank account each month but they denied me and refused to look at the proof of payment in the form of actual bank deposit slips with the date and time on each of them. I was NEVER LATE. The manager at Hartwood kept apologizing and asking me to bring in the same pay stubs and then at the end when I called for an update she asked me to email her EVERYTHING all over again. She didn’t even give me my portion of the money order for my records. She kept calling with bogus updates about move in dates and said in order for me to be approved I had to put in a 60 day notice at my current apartment even though I only had 60 days left in my lease. She could not give me an exact move in date so it never made sense to me. She stated that it could be one month, three months or even a year!! I felt sorry for her because something was wrong mentally with her memory, organization skills etc. Got denied and had to move out of my apartment unit because it was already rented because I put it on the market when put in my 60 day notice which I knew and was hesitant to do that without even having a move in date. She said I know how it sounds but that’s our policy. I was told by Maria that I had to pay reletting fees. Thank goodness my apartment manager allowed me to transfer into a different unit which I was thankful for even though the unit was over $200 more per month than I was paying before. That unethical, unfair and unnecessary application process really put me in a bind. I was 8 months pregnant and trying to prepare and get things situated to bring a whole human into this world. There is a lot more but there is not enough space on this platform nor do I have the time to relive the experience."
"Worst apartment complex to stay in although it is new the management is so terrible they make it hell to stay here. You have a high chance of getting towed even though you’re a resident, the complex fire alarms are faulty and go off in the middle of the night for a long time. The elevator is constantly broken and on top of that the privacy as a resident you get is horrible, they are always micro managing and give you hell about visitors even if you have just one. The visitor parking lot will have so many spots open but they don’t operate visitor parking as first come first serve, people and other residents that also pay rent but are denied access to the parking lot can reserve visitor spots for up to a week which is insane. And don’t get me started with this property manager Essie she is just a horrible person that is in no mental capacity to be in the position she is in. Horrible customer service, gets frustrated easily, and on top of that has terrible problem solving and interpersonal skills with people."
"This has been the worst first apartment experience of my life , they charge you for everything and do not tell you until your account is charged , within 3 months of me living there my filter went out and I had to pay 60 dollars for it when it should have been brand new considering they were brand new apartments. If you have insurance coverage of your vehicle you still cannot park under garage which is so dumb so you would have to park on the side of the rode if your name is not listed on the insurance title even if you pay for it. I have been ticketed and towed for dumb reasons at a place I pay rent and I am so excited to be leaving DO NOT MOVE here you get no privacy and everything is a big deal you won’t enjoy your stay here. It’s unprofessional and all over the place check back in a few years when it is better management."
