"For the most part I like living here. It’s just frustrating when owners patch things up. There is a constant issue with plumbing & hot water. The laundry room is filthy & they are not worth 900/month. There are also threats of fines from the city for electrical, structural, & plumbing issues. Slapping cheap plank on the floor doesn’t mean it’s renovated either. Cold part is, I don’t mind paying, if it’s worth it."

"These apartment complex are managed by non profit organization called Avenue and are supposed to help the community but they want to raise the rent close to $900 to the *working class* tenants, including me, where the units are not worth it. There is no soundproof, you can literally hear everything from other units. Walls are super thin. There are thefts in the property, there are suspicious people walking around who don’t live in the complex. There are roaches. The washing machines constantly keep breaking and laundry room is always dirty. They take forever to cut the grass in the landscaping areas and they want to increase the rent where these apartments are worth in the $400-700 range as when we first rent our rent was in the $600-700, and now they want to increase $840 where there hasn’t been any renovations done on most old units! Even the renovated units are not worth $900 and up because the entire building is simply old! This is ridiculous and outrageous. They need to evaluate this property and keep the prices low because at the end this is a low income apartment community! Where is the compassion for the community as “Non-Profit Organization?” They are greedy and just want to make profit from the working class tenants! Oh and on top there is a cemetery behind the property! Don’t rent here! If you do, best of luck."

"We really enjoyed living here. Josie is awesome, she takes good care of her residents. It's quiet and the neighbors watch out for one another. Any time we had a problem they quickly took care of it. We wish it was updated, but if you want a great location, a quiet place, and a safe place for your family, this is it!"

"What a world of difference the new management is making! These guys really care about running a place which is SAFE, clean, well maintained and comfortable for all tenants. They fixed what was broken, revamped the whole place and hired competent people to manage the complex. I recommend Mangum to everyone! THANK YOU for paying attention to all the details!"

"i've been living here a couple years. a new owner took over last year and i was worried at first but they seem to be doing a nice job. the apartment is clean, safe...the laundry room is redone. the manager lady josie is available and she lives there, too, so she cares about the place. i haven't had the need to get anything fixed except 1 time for the toilet and the maintenance guy came to my apartment quickly and took care of it. overall, i'm pretty happy. sometimes they have fun things like a contest for who can decorate their door the best for halloween for a prize, i think it was $50 target gift card. that was cool! thanks for doing a great job. keep it up!"
