"DON'T MOVE HERE. BELIEVE 1 STAR REVIEW. 1/I have been living here 8 months, the #2 clothes room always block. First time it opened is the first day after they fix the door. Second time it opened to clean up. This is third time it opened is people smoking with the music very loud. After I passed it, one of the three guys closed the door. 2/Parking is crazy. No space to park. I asked for the reserved parking, they said they don't have it here. 3/The gate door have never been fixed until now (8 months and more) 4/this apt is low quality. Please believe the 1 star reviews."
"The worst apartment complex in the city of Houston I’m sure…So I have literally been living in a hotel for 2 going on 3 weeks because a pipe burst in my apt for the second time they the had they nerve to fix it with cardboard and call it sheet rock not only that but the office staff is terrible all of them. The apartment have pets the outside is always disgusting if you don’t have a choice I understand but get out fast… Apartments and cars get broken into, and it happened so much that the police doesn’t even come out They take your report on the phone. The water pressure what is that no such thing here!!! So if you look for a roach infested shoot out apartment with no hot water and want your car broken into definitely move here this is the place for you"
"Falsely stated on lease that gates create a safe enclosure even providing codes for access. Then, when questioned, they said they were being worked on. This was 10 months ago. Within one week, two of my family's cars were broken into. I am highly disappointed. This is furthered with disdain about the constant roach infestation we have in our apartments and the constant need for the a/c to be fixed."
"The price of the apartment is perfect. As well as the office staff works with you if something happens during the time to pay rent. My reasoning behind my 1 star, has everythingggggg to do with the security and vandalism in this place. I have been here for 4 months now and I have had my car messed with twice. As well as I had to get a ring camera because someone was messing with my door mat everyday (that’s small but still very scary). My catalytic converter was stolen and just yesterday my car has been broken into and someone attempted to steal it. I’ve spoke to the office manager about fixing the gate, maybe getting a security guard as well as maybe getting some cameras if everything else doesn’t work. I was told that “they don’t have to guarantee my safety” as well as the gate is constantly getting broken and it’s costly so that’s the reason it’s not fixed ( the cost is going to come from the tenants because it’s constantly being broken). I have only been here for four months and I understand “you get what you pay for” but I’m paying rent on top of bills, ON TOP OF MAINTENANCE FOR MY CAR! it’s getting out of hand and I’m not sure what to do from this point."
"Conveniently located. Easy access to I10, 290, beltway, and 610. Literally 30 minutes or less to get to anywhere I need to be in Houston. Excellent school district. Excellent office staff. Maintenance, well that depends on the time of day on which day and which guy is on duty. Some maintenance workers here are professional and accurate, some are not. I recomend you be home and understand what he is supposed to fix during any request. If you are not home before between 6PM and 8PM you will likely be wating from 30 minutes to hours to park your car within the gates on the property. 10pm any night forget it, it will be hours wait or park on the street outside the apartments. Every time office staff is asked about residents paying for reserved parking or parking restrictions the answer is always "Somerset cannot afford a contract with a tow company. Therefore Somerset can't enforce parking rules or hold violators accountable." When residents are lucky enough to have a parking space in the complex near our unit or otherwise our vehicles are constantly damaged. Scratched, scraped, bumped. Neighbors are often nasty. Trash all over the parking lot on Saturdays Saturdays and sundays. Food, ketchup, mask, coffee, napkins are some of the trash one may have to step through to get in or out the vehicles. Sundays the trash at the dumpsters, put there by residents, is absolutely disgusting. Neighbors sit trash bags outside the dumpsters. Cats spend all weekend going through and spreading the trash alone the back gate. At the entrance gate at phase 2 there are always Walmart baskets full of trash. Tonight there is a trailer parked there with lots of trash surrounding it and about 6 grown stray cat spreading trash at the drive in entrance gate. Several residents have 2, 3 vehicles per household and the idea that we should pay for parking or be asked to park any vehicle in addition to 1on the back gate ( visitor , parking) or park outside the gate is not logical to resident staff because they can't afford the cost. Rent is reasonably priced here. Keep in mind every lease renewal your rent will increase. With the increase nothing will be upgraded or replace with newer ones or models. The increase during each lease renewal will be explained as market price for the economy or area. I don't recommend paying with money orders. The online portal is accurate and I've never had an issue with the online payments. I paid with money orders for 6 months, never received a professional receipt, and one day had a knock on the door demanding almost 5,000.00. I had to produce ever money order stub before my account was updated correctly. That type of record keeping and accounting is inconvenient to residents. Overall my husband and I are still here. We love our actual apartment unit. And the complex is usually quiet. Just need to improve on cleanliness on the property and actually make parking more accessible to residents. Examples of neighbors willing to damage vehicles are in these photos. Examples of how nasty neighbors are are in the photos."
