"A little over two years ago, I seriously thought about moving my grandma elsewhere because it felt like everything was going downhill since she first moved in. But today, I can honestly say I'm really happy about the positive changes the new manager has brought to the property. It takes time, but I can see it's definitely on the right track. A few things stand out as the biggest improvements. The community center is in great shape, and you can see the new manager and her team putting in real effort to make it inviting. Residents are actually able to take advantage of the center because the manager is always bringing the community together with fun events. There’s no longer trash on the ground, and they finally started power washing – such a relief after years of that dirty ground and parking lot. It was a SUCH an eyesore looking at old oil stains that been there for years. Also, the garden and sitting areas look amazing, creating a nice vibe for everyone. My grandma is pretty happy with how things have turned around compared to before. The manager's dedication to making the living experience better doesn't go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate the hard work and commitment from the manager and the team."
"My Mother lives there and aside from her wanting to be independent, I would have insisted that she leave there long ago. This place is a NIGHTMARE. It’s Filthy and very Poorly Managed and Maintained. The hallways/corridors are filthy, stained from God knows what and cobwebs, mud dauber empty nest are EVERYWHERE! Furniture is dumped behind the trash dumpster and obstructs the ability to access the dumpster to drop your trash. There’s some kind of Inspection going on every few months where management makes it mandatory to have access to your apt. The gates are ALWAYS broken which has recently caused me Great concern for her safety because people have been coming from somewhere else and dumping their own garbage on the ground behind the the dumpster. I was told there was a homeless person sleeping near an elevator there. She’s lived there now for 5.6 years, I’ve watched it progressively get worse every time there’s a Management change with each change showing less concern than the one before them about the upkeep of the property. This place is like living near a land fill, just horribly filthy. It’s a Slum and whoever owns or runs it is a Slum Lord. Don’t be fooled by the pretty pictures you see on line, they’re from when the property first went up, Nothing is as shone. I don’t even think that the appliances there are still sold anywhere in the World they’re That obsolete. I know that out of desperation and financial distress we sometimes have to settle for less but this is Horrible living conditions. If not for my Mother living there I would never known a place like this to exist, not with Senior. Before considering this place to be your home, read the reviews then compare them to a tour of the property… The gates are open just walk/drive through. Seniors have paid their dues in life, they deserve better. A.J."
"The property and grounds are lovely and peaceful, but the application process is terrible, and you MUST apply and pay a fee to be put on the waiting list. The Yardi Matrix application platform is poorly coded, and there is a chance your application will get kicked back for errors after you've paid for the screening. Mine did. If that happens, you can't edit your application and try to get the screening to complete. So you're out $28 and still can't get on the waiting list. No one would call me back or answer my emails for help when this happened to me. If you apply on their website, make sure every field is filled in right and that there are no typos before you provide your payment information, because after that you can't edit anything. It makes me sad. I loved the koi fish pond and raised garden beds, but I'm not going to risk losing another $28 for what is essentially a game of chance at getting an available apartment in the time frame I needed one. Since there is high demand for these units, the chances aren't very good."
"I have lived here for more than four years starting in 2016. Golden Bamboo Village 3 was nice and clean when it first started out. And the staff and management was friendly in the beginning. Then as time progressed, the appliances and furnishings went bad because they were bought of low quality. My microwave broke, my dishwasher as well. There was water leaking in my apartment as well as many other residents. Last year in 2020, they changed management. A new manager by the name of Daniel stepped in. The guy is a smooth talker but when you need something done, he takes a very long time doing it or he doesn't reply to you. I will list the other things that go wrong at this place: 1. From time to time, the entry gate breaks down and takes months to repair. Cars go in and out as they please. Many resident cars have been broken into. 2. The wood fence that borders the back perimeter has huge gaps underneath. It allows trespassers to climb underneath. Not very safe for most of us elderly residents!!! 3. They will charge a late fee of $63.00! That is pretty high for seniors on fixed incomes. And you're forced to setup and pay online. Not easy for seniors who were accustomed to paying at the front office in person. 4. The maintenance guy will take his time coming for repairs. He's a bit rude when you talk with him on the phone. 5. Again, be aware of Daniel the manager. He's good at one thing, and that's not replying to you."
