"Stayed at this location for 12 nights while working in the area. This is a great place to stay if you were working in the area and need a cheap place or stopping for the night. I had a kitchenette which came in handy. The rooms were clean enough, but lacking maintenance. You can tell it's an older building that has thrown in new fixtures here and there as the old broke down. My particular room was nice until you went to the washroom. The tub was old and showing its age, I could almost pull the faucet off the wall, and the drain was calcified with the shower head. The ceiling fan was hanging by its wires, which for some reason seems to be a trend in the US. The weirdest and most annoying part was the door swung to the right, hiding the toilet. The door had minimal clearance of the tub, so you would almost have to stand in the tub to then close the door to get to the toilet. It's not a big deal, but make those late night visits with your eye closed to keep the sleep hard when you have to focus and that dance without dying. Also, no one needs a mirror directly across from the toilet.. All of my other colleagues had rooms with completely new bathrooms, so mine was likely the older one. They all also found the bathroom an oddity. This location has breakfast, which was the normal hot plate style that alternated a few options. It was always sufficiently stocked, which was appreciated. The service otherwise was mixed. On check-in, desk staff were great. Check-out got a little mixed up though. A week in, I requested late check out due to flights. They happily obliged. Come the day we left, the desk attendant never entered anything, so they were calling to verify that I was leaving. My card stopped working as I was trying to do laundry, so I was locked out, etc. Easy fix over all but noteworthy. The worst part was the cleaning staff ignored my do not disturb sign and came in and serviced the room while I was at work. even to the effect that they took the sign off the handle and placed it in the room. They took old towels but never stocked anything back up so I have to go get more at the desk, and return cleaning supplies they left behind. The rest if the stay was un eventful, I used the gym which was nicely equipped, the pool seemed clean all around a good hotel for work. Also, there is a stray cat that chills with you and welcomes everyone in and out of the building. She should be put on staff, that all I'm saying!"
"Parking lot is the safest around. Good place to stay. This is my second stay at this hotel. My overall experience has been ok. The front desk service is absolutely great. Very helpful. The housekeepers…. That’s another story. I’ve been here two weeks and my room has not been serviced. They take my dirty towels and do t replace them with clean towels. I brought my own own washcloths from home and when I got to my room this evening, they were all in the toilet. Purposely put there by some complete as***le. I am beyond livid. I went to the front desk to let them know, no manager available….. this room has cost over 1500 dollars since I’ve been here and the housekeeping is deplorable…. It’s unacceptable. I find it hard to believe that a hotel of this poor caliber would be allowed to carry the Marriot brand… Do better… you have a problem. A few weeks later… I met the General Manager yesterday. Was recently put into that position. (After my negative post) Great guy. The hotel has made some very significant improvements. My room is being serviced regularly. Good job!"
"Rooms are ok bed was comfy, one of my guys had broken glass on the floor of their room, after moving from one that smelled like a swamp. It’s missing things like working clothes washing machines, syrup for waffles, coffee lids, good coffee (it’s really bad), just having a hand lettered sign saying it’s broken or missing is not enough. Fix the issues for more stars. The seafood resturaunt next door is good."
"Just overall bad experience. The breakfast is minimal but well managed. Room cleaning only available every 7 days, but then substandard. Change sheets but not pillowcases. No dishwasher detergent nor sink towels. My son checked in early and they wouldn’t let him in because the room was in my name unless they swiped his card. I arrived 30 minutes later, they swiped my card but kept a pending charge on his for at least 5 days. They are polite and apologize a lot."
"Nice sized modern rooms and very friendly staff. However, the wifi was down for most of my stay. I was not warned about this before or upon check in. I was also granted late check out and had housekeeping knock on my door asking when I was leaving and multiple phone calls from the front desk hours before my approved check out."
