"NO SHUTTLE. Specifically picked this hotel because we needed a shuttle to the airport. Even called to verify. Now we have to pay for an Uber to get to the airport which cost more. Front desk person was combative and defensive as if we were blaming her fir the wrong information given by other employees. Service at hotels is becoming horrible as they are constantly changing management. I sware we are become a 3rd world country."
"During my stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Houston Hobby Airport in Houston, Texas, from February 16th to February 18th, 2024, I encountered several issues that left me dissatisfied. When I entered the hotel, I noticed a staff member who wasn't dressed appropriately for their role. They weren't wearing any identification or hotel uniform, and their everyday attire, including a black knit beanie hat, made it unclear whether they were employees or guests. Inside my room, I was surprised to find no closet. Instead, only five hangers were hanging on the ironing board behind the bathroom door, which was inconvenient. My room keys were deactivated daily despite my efforts to keep them away from my phone and other electronics. This meant I had to repeatedly go to the front desk to get them reactivated, which was frustrating. Furthermore, the advertised streaming services like Netflix were not available or functional. When I asked about this at the front desk, I was told that the TVs in the rooms were too old to support Netflix. This explanation didn't seem reasonable, especially considering that Netflix can be accessed through a wireless internet connection and an HDMI cable, both of which were available in the room. Positively, the hotel WiFi worked. Overall, my experience at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Houston Hobby Airport was disappointing, and as an IHG Member, I won't be returning or recommending it to others. The issues with staff attire, lack of closet space, recurring problems with room keys, and outdated technology made for an unsatisfactory stay."
"There's a lot of negative reviews for this place, so I wasn't expecting much, to the point where I almost cancelled my reservation. But I was surprised to actually find a very decent place, the lobby seemed welcoming and didn't smell bad, someone had said it smelled bad. It looked clean, the room was nice and nothing seemed out of place. Although that side of Houston is a little sketchy, the actual hotel looked clean, no trash in parking lot. You should definitely give it a chance. My mother in law made a comment that the lady in the cafeteria was nice and went of our her way to give my kids yogurt."
"This is the most unprofessional hotel I’ve ever been to. We booked our room 3 months ago, and when we arrived we were told they are sold out and they don’t have anymore rooms. I said, “we have a reservation, for you to HOLD the room.” He said there is a glitch in the system. So at 11:30pm I am looking for a taxi in a city I’ve never been in, and looking for a new hotel room. We asked if they had any roll away beds to sleep in my brothers room, he said “we have zero roll away beds, extra pillows or blankets.” He said they also don’t even have enough towels for all the guests. There was no manager on site, and the worker said he had no authority to do anything, and that the manager “Dan” had been ignoring his calls all day long. All I was given was a piece of paper with the managers email on it. This place is an absolute dumpster fire of an establishment."
"1st time visiting this hotel. Clean and comfortable. The only issue was that the heat didn't work in the room but I wasn't using it. I noticed it was on, but the room was cold. It was better once off. Staff was friendly checking in and out. The bed was comfortable and room was clean."
