"If I could give only half a star, I would! Our experience with Sonesta Essentials was horrible. We had a group booking (20 rooms) for a one-night stay in mid-February. Before we even got there, I tried calling ahead multiple times to put a credit card on file so that we could pay for everyone under the same card. When I finally got ahold of the manager, she kept saying that she'd get back to me with the credit card authorization stuff and never did. When we got to HOU, we discovered that they had to order a Lyft for each guest to get to the hotel, which was a nightmare to coordinate. Then, as the group coordinator, when I got there and started getting my group into their rooms, several people approached me with various issues: One of my guests called her room "the murder motel" because there were scratches on the door that looked like someone was trying to claw their way out. There were several stains on the carpet, including one that looked like blood, and the bathtub looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Another guest's assigned room was already occupied -- laundry and luggage were strewn everywhere. A third guest had seen cockroaches on the walls as they made their way to the room. And a fourth guest had trash left throughout their room from a previous guest -- the room hadn't been cleaned at all! Most of the other people in my group expressed similar issues. So, 90% of my group made last-minute bookings with the Marriott Springhill and Courtyard next door. The manager, because of our experience, offered us full refunds. I would have given another star or two for service if that was the end of it, however, I've run into more issues since then. I needed a receipt to submit my company card expense, so I called to ask for one. After several attempts, I finally got ahold of the manager, who said she would send me the receipt. I called back 3 more times saying that I'd not yet received it and, when I actually got to speak with the manager, she reconfirmed my email multiple times, but I still have not received anything (and I've checked all my inboxes and spam). As I'm writing this, I've called again, for the 6th time, to ask for the receipt (I was going to sit on the phone with the manager until I received it), but I've been on hold for an hour. Overall, the service was awful, the rooms were atrocious, and I would never, ever recommend anyone to stay here. It's absolutely worth spending an extra $30-40 to stay at the next-door Marriott!"
"I took a chance on this hotel because I only needed to stay for 1 night and because of the mixed reviews. I get to the hotel and got in the room, it had a weird smell, stains on the carpet, the seat had stains and my light shade was so dusty! I went to request a new room and she gave me one. The second room was carpet free which was cool, smelled way better and looked more clean. As my friend and I are getting dressed she screamed out “they got roaches” she’s trying to step on it and another one come from under the tv. I was so disgusted, I’m trying to pick my shoes up off the floor and then 2 more came from under the desk! I took a pic and video & We grabbed our stuff so fast and left that room. I went to go cancel my stay, I was so ready to show proof of how many roaches we just had to deal with, but The manager was nice and patient though, ultimately we went to another hotel. I couldn’t believe it. This hotel needs an inspection, a new cleaning staff & renovations. I would NOT recommend This hotel to no one! So disgusting and an inconvenience!"
"Upon entering our room, we were greeted by the presence of several cockroaches on the walls and floor which made the room unsuitable for our stay. Within 15 minutes of going in our room we reported this to the hotel staff, hoping for a swift resolution. However, despite the discomfort and inconvenience caused, the hotel was unable to offer a refund when we chose not to stay under those conditions. I am an Army Retired Veteran, and I am sharing this feedback not out of malice, but with the hope that they take serious steps towards improving their cleanliness and customer service protocols. It's crucial for guests to feel comfortable and valued, and addressing such concerns promptly and effectively is key to achieving this. I believe in the importance of transparency and hope this review helps potential guests to make informed decisions and encourages the hotel to enhance their standards."
"Be aware that the hotel was bought out about a month ago. If you did your reservation through a third party it no longer stands. The front desk clerk was understanding and was able to price match what we had paid and had available rooms. Not everyone will get that lucky. Now the rooms. We first walked in and saw a couple baby roaches. We were upset but killed them and moved on. Then they started coming from everywhere. In the fridge. Bathroom. Bed. Ac. They did state they were dealing with this from the last management and they had exterminators coming next week."
"Title: Excellent Value and Convenient Amenities at Green Tree Hotel Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) I recently had the pleasure of staying at Green Tree Hotel, a 4-star establishment, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. The hotel offered great value for the price, along with a range of amenities that enhanced my overall experience. One of the standout features was the well-equipped fitness center. It provided me with the opportunity to maintain my exercise routine while on the road, which was a definite plus. The equipment was in good condition, and the space was clean and inviting. The hotel's common areas were stylishly designed and created a welcoming atmosphere. I found them to be comfortable spaces to relax and socialize with fellow guests. Whether it was the cozy lounge or the inviting outdoor seating area, there were plenty of options to unwind and enjoy some downtime. One aspect that had concerned me initially was the $100 deposit. However, I was relieved to find that the process was smooth, and I received my deposit back without any issues. The hotel's staff was efficient and handled the matter professionally, ensuring a hassle-free experience. Additionally, Green Tree Hotel offered a complimentary shuttle service to the airport, which was a convenient perk. It saved me both time and money, making my departure stress-free. While Green Tree may be a 4-star establishment, it provided excellent value for the price. The amenities, such as the fitness center and complimentary airport shuttle, added to the overall positive experience. I would recommend Green Tree Hotel to anyone seeking comfortable accommodations, convenient amenities, and a great value for their stay."
