DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Houston Hobby Airport 8181 Airport Boulevard, Houston, TX 77061

"Got a king bed. Room was super spacious. Cool chair in room. Also a coffee machine. Front desk was polite asking for more cookies (which they are tasty!!) and towels were brought up as requested. There’s a bar with a cool Texas vibe (antler chandelier was beautiful) and pleather seating. Pool area seemed comfortable but didn’t swim. And last perk was the surplus full size shampoo conditioner body wash in room. I’ve seen a few hotels doing this recently and it’s soo appreciated. Rather the teenie tiny samples they give that have maybe one use out of them (plus the amount of plastic waste) it’s nice to see hotels be generous with those toiletries. However it doesn’t say ingredients anywhere on bottles. Would be nice if it did. Especially if they are nicer. Makes it a nice perk and experience. Thanks all! PS didn’t quite hear the planes while in room. Definitely outside but wasn’t bad inside. Then again our flight went out at 4 am and I didn’t sleep anyways so not sure. Our view was the top of the building and very abysmal but oh well. Can’t have everything. Bed was comfortable and clean so we were happy. The chair made for some nice relaxing couple therapy time… wink wink. Also appreciate the two free water bottles more than anything! As a suggestion, I’d recommend better signage and way finding. Wasn’t obvious which side to access pool or where bar was. We took an Uber to Kelley’s country cookin restaurant 10 min away. Didn’t wanna pay expensive prices at restaurant. Few fast food places nearby but I’d recommend the restaurant if you want YUGE portions!! A little janky but the Texas experience"

"For the price of the hotel not worth the stay. Way to expensive for overpriced not updated hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean. Restaurant bar was average. Overall price did not meet the value. Very close to Houston Hobby Airport with easy access."

"This was a really nice place to stay. The staff was nice and accommodating. The cookies they give you at check-in were amazingly good. The rooms were nice and most importantly clean. There was a shuttle from the airport that runs regularly. The hotel is really close to the airport. I also liked the breakfast at the hotel restaurant. I have nothing bad to say. I would definitely stay here again."

"Not only is this hotel located in a convenient place, but it offers some of the best free cookies ever. While I feel that in past years, staff has been better, my most recent experience was not bad and is still worthy of five stars. My only real complaint is that I requested my room to be serviced on my second day and requested for it to happen after 12:00 noon. Someone stopped by three times prior to 12:00 to service the room. I admire that dedication but I simply wasn't ready. The bar service was wonderful, with an awesome bartender that was worthy of a 30% tip. The restaurant food was good, especially the gumbo. All in all, a highly recommended place whether you are here on business or for personal reasons. PS, this hotel will always have a special place in my heart because it is the place where I asked my wife to marry me in 2017 and she said yes."
