"Mr. McNeil IS a fabulous host, I would recommend this spot to anyone traveling near or in the Houston area for a staycation. The entire home is fitted with art from around the world as well as a full Kitchen in the common area. The room I stayed in had a full bath as well as a full private terrace. I was able to unwind & relax for the weekend. For the price, style and aesthetic, nothing beats "The Art Abbey"!. For the summer I plan to book with this lovely establishment again."
"John was amazing, and super friendly! Nice room, I just wish we have more sheets. That is our only critique. We had a great stay and woke up to coffee and nice conversation. He is very informative and honest about the area. I enjoyed how interesting he made every conversation. I would recommend this place and if we ever come back we will hopefully be able to return."

""Brother John" is a kind gentleman & keeps a Clean & tight ship. This-Home away from Home is warm & inviting. The company is Nice & the room is clean & the bed is Comfortable. My Cousin & I never had to worry about our safety, vermin or bugs. I did however, get to take some photos of a little Mountain Boomer, who somehow figured-out how to get in the garage. The decor is Wonderful, with paintings from guests from all over the world. You can't beat the price & I recommend this place to Everyone."
