"We stay here frequently when we are in town for MD Anderson. The place is very nice and it is usually quiet. It has a nice pool for the warmer weather months. The breakfast buffet is decent. The staff is usuallly friendly and helpful."

"I booked a room for my mom and I for three nights. My mom was scheduled for two days of appointments and treatment for cancer at MD Anderson. We needed a hotel close to the clinic and that offered a shuttle service to the hospital. This hotel was perfect. At 3am we hear a extremely loud truck that was unloading supplies for Lubys restaurant next door. This was happening right outside our window. I called down to the front to ask if this was a regular occurrence. The woman said " Yes. It's every night" I told her this isn't going to work. My mom needs her rest for her treatment later. The woman said " Well you can check out before 11am". This was a very rude and inconsiderate way to respond. We checked out that morning. A lot of people and their families stay at these hotels close to the cancer center. We are already dealing with a unimaginable situation and having to be treated this way was just wrong. Breakfast was just ok. If you are looking for a restful place to stay while you or your loved one is getting treatment at MD Anderson this hotel is not the place."

"Gone downhill!!!! The cleanliness of the rooms leaves a lot to be desired!!! We checked out early and moved to a different hotel due to the filthy room. The floors are in dire need of deep cleaning...places of carpet look like they haven't been vacuumed in months!!! Hard floor has sticky, filthy black residue all over. Inside the freezer was dirty. Cabinets under the sink were filthy inside. Fitness center has 2 treadmills, neither of which were working. The exercise bike has a broken pedal. It's too bad the cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel has gone downhill because the location is good when in Houston for medical center appointments with the complimentary shuttle to the medical center. The complimentary breakfast is the best thing at the hotel...breakfast is still fantastic!!!"

"Stayed here for 4 days. There was no one to clean the room. We had to go to the desk to get clean towels pillow cases toilet paper etc. we noticed there was 1 lady servicing all the rooms and by the time she knocked on our door it was day 3, it was 4 oclock in the evening and we were taking a nap. Meanwhile the garbage was piling up and we had to take our own trash out and go to the desk to get more trash bags. We got stuck in the elevator. There was a few problems with people getting stuck in the elevator so for the most part i opted to take the stairs. We paid $40 (per room) for transportation to a concert and were given a complimentary gift bag containing a pair of eyeglasses, a juice pouch, a ring pop, a beaded bracelet and a pack of trident gum! The problem was that there was only 1 gift bag per room no matter how many people were in the room. CHEAPSKATES! The $40 for transportation made sense but they should have kept the gift bags. It just made matters worse. In the other hand, the breakfast was was plentiful the room was roomy and the pool was clean, some of the staff were pleasant. Shopping and restaurants were nearby. Great location but room service could have been better."
