"loud can hear everything. lady vacuuming the hallways at 8 in the morning. sounds like windows are always open gets waken up everyday by something"
"I have been a tenant for approximately 14 months. I find the Sterling Troy Apartments to be quiet, and the neighbors friendly. Even though the apartment are a little out dated, I find the building to be maintained and cleaned. The staff has been very accommodating and professional. My neighbors are friendly. and they keep an eye on things. I have enjoyed my stay here so far (I am going on my second lease)."
"I applied to live here because it seemed like a cheaper place to live with good interior conditions and floor plans! However, I was asked to pay for an application before I even got to see the apartment itself, which is not a good sign. What if I ended up not liking the place where I was assigned to move into and what if there were problems with it? Didn't matter because I was not allowed to see it and they almost took $100 from me in a money order STILL without letting me see the apartment which would've been a week later which I thankfully did not go further with. Then I drove by the property and did not like what I saw. While it is cool that they do have an outdoor pool, there was garbage in the front windows with messed up carpeting on the stairs going in and it was also located in an old rough-looking part of Sterling Heights which turned me off to moving in. Plus the apartments were built in 1966 which is too old for my taste. Just was not for me and I felt like I could've done better."
"Im been living here for almost 2 years now but caught my apartment in fire last decemeber 25,2018. Prayers to all the family affected! Please do me favor get in touch to them as soon as possible. Thank you!!!"
"Living here for the time being is not the worst, but far from the best. There is a giant crack in the wall of my living room and I've told people id like it fixed but every time I am told it is not a safety concern so it is not an issue. The windows in the bedrooms are VERY cheap and thin all you can hear is Dequindre Rd of ALL hours of the day. It is so loud my guests in the living room ask if the window is open. There is a family near my apartment that is constantly fighting and their kids scream all the time, it is very alarming and makes me feel unsafe at times. Also, going into other peoples apartments that I have become friends with, I noticed their carpets and cabinets are WAY nicer than mine and upgraded. They are people who moved in before me or around the same time. It is frustrating knowing we pay the same price for rent when they have a significantly nicer apartment than mine. With all of that being said, the maintenance man with the long hair usually pulled back is very nice and considerate. It is a cheap place to live as a 'stepping stone'. Other than the screaming kids, it does feel pretty safe. A lot of my neighbors are nice and have become great friends. There is a good sense of community, especially after the fire. If anyone wanted to live here long term I would say better not.. but is a nice stepping stone."
