"How is crime in the area? Friends keep telling me its a really bad area and are concerned I will be robbed, either my vehicle or apartment. just curious at what to expect"

"Let's start with I lived at this apartment for a little over a year and a half. I took over the existing lease from another person. First thing I have never lived at an apartment complex that use a billing service for utilities the name of it is called simple bills. With this service I had to pay a 60 dollar yearly fee just to use, then there were other fees for storing my payment information on file. Which makes no sense. Second, while I was living there I had to fix multiple things within my apartment because there are not enough maintenance staff to fix the issues. The only time someone actually came out was when my water heater went bad and the maintenance guy who came out was very pleasant to work with. Third, once I moved out I knew there would be some expenses for them to come in to clean and paint. But then I got a bill for a replacement couch which I had no idea was part of the furnishings of the apartment because I was not informed of this information. Fourth, the staff in the office at the particular location while I was there was not friendly of helpful in any way. I will not recommend this apartment complex for anyone whether they are a student going to K college across the street. Or if it is a family looking for a cheap apartment. Due to the way I was treated and because of all the hidden fees and expenses they didn't tell me about."

"My son have live here for 2 years we ask if we could break are lease. Due to the coronivurus i was told i would have to pay 6 months rent. Now why would i do that. when are lease is over in 3 mo this company did not care even f he had to leave school. I was willing to pay something but 6 months. Please find some where else to live.This os the worst place to live if you move out take pictures they mess ip.the paint on the wall and said my son did it i clean that apartment i know it was clean and dont pay security deposit back please do your homework. Go someplace elese."

"My son will be starting KCC in the fall and him and his 2 friends are moving in next week. We are coming from the Detroit area, so I have been dealing with the Community Lead Alicia, and she has been absolutely helpful. Answers my emails and questions very quickly. We are looking forward to our boys having a great experience here!"

"**EDITED REVIEW** My problems stated in my original review have now been fixed, but it took over a month. This complex is under new management now and I have had better communication with the leasing office since the switch. Don't live here. Leasing office has been unresponsive since I moved in. My kitchen sink is leaking and no one cares to answer my work request or phone calls and voicemails. My utility bill is also incorrect and they have not reached out to help me get it fixed. Would not recommend."
