"My daughter is relocating from out of state, so I met her in the Battle Creek area to help her find an apartment. We toured many units in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo on Fri /Sat Feb 23 and 24th. Alex was the leasing agent on site when we arrived at the Arbors. He was exceptional!! He was extremely professional yet very human ( and kind!!). He was very busy with numerous customers when we arrived . He was very polite, checked in with everyone, all while continuing to give the person in his office his full attention . After a short wait , he worked with us . He was very efficient—- and receptive to our needs. He showed us several units —- going above and beyond . This company is very fortunate to have Alex—— he represented the business very well ."

"Arbors of Battle Creek has been a positive living experience. The location is ideal, the management is responsive and caring, plus their maintenance staff works hard to make everything just right for you. I have no complaints, and recommend living here."

"I stayed in the arbors 2. Not bad. Easy to get into which is a blessing considering all others require so much. They are working on making the Arbors look better on the outside. Rent is decent compared to some places but the office staff isn’t always the most professional and maintenance is so backed up it’ll take them a while to get to you. I lived there a year and never got anything fixed because they were so backlogged. What glitters ain’t always gold tho. Be late on the rent and they quick to hit you with an eviction. Moving out charges are ridiculous so make sure you leave your place spotless walls floors carpets microwave stove fridge they charge cleaning for everything and anything they can. Don’t mess up the blinds and the paint they use on the doors peels. Make sure that don’t happen or you’ll get charged to replace it. They are charging professional cleaning prices if you move out and leave anything behind. There’s pros and cons everywhere you rent, but I’d have to say this was probably one of the least worst options."

"Hello, my mom recently tried to move into these apartments. I went with her to both the apartments and the housing commission a few times, but not every time so I had a pretty nice outlook on them at first. Then the first problems came up, one of them being general rudeness, specifically about section 8. My mother talked to someone over the phone about this, the person gave snarky answers and refused to cooperate with the basic questions my mother was asking. It was weird, definitely took the wind out of her sails, but we continued to pursue the apartments anyway. We figured it would be a smooth ride from there, because not too long after my mother was assured she would be given a place to stay, and no place was without its bad apples. But then the person who works with section 8 confirmed that the place would be in budget, only to contradicted herself at the last minute and only after they took her money for application and admin fees. It's bad enough this happened once, but twice? Seriously? There's a point where it goes from a mistake to neglect or exploitation. Because of their negligence, my mother currently has no place of her own to stay because they promised her she didn't need a backup and then fell through after taking her money. Keep in mind, before you write this review off as me or my mom being a Karen, this is a REPEATED ISSUE. It hasn't just been us that this has happened to, and I wouldn't be surprised it happened to even more people after us too."

"I have lived here for 3 years. NOW compared to 3 years ago, it has been so much better. I feel like management is at its best! (Since Ive been here anyways.) Maintenance seems more well staffed and seems like they are doing what needs to be done. The trash around the apartment complex is the best Ive ever seen it. Everyone seems very respectful and helpful. Cant wait to see what its like a year from now!"
