"Decent place to rent a very small apartment from... The Manager is a good guy and trys to keep up with the building. But the people just don't seem to care about keeping nice clean apartments 650 for a 1 bedroom. 700 for 2 and 550 for a studio last I was aware of."

"As someone who been here for many, many years, this is the best place if you love bed bugs and waiting months, and i mean months for repairs. Dan, the guy who works in the office does not communicate with maintenance because he tells me he was never told. so someone is lying. The bedbug infestation is so bad right now, i do not see it ever being cured. I'm one of the cleanest apartments in here, from what they tell me and im getting bit to all hell here. I'm beyond stressed out and frustrated from dealing with bumps rashes from this. As someone who been here for many, many years, take my word, do not move in. you will regret it."

"I just received an eviction notice not even a week before Christmas for “unpaid rent”, that was paid. On time. When we first moved in, the manager showing us the apartment did not step foot inside. She gave the tour from the hallway looking in. I thought something felt off about this but ignored my gut feeling. After moving in furniture and staying for a couple of days I began to see little red bumps all over my arms and had a sinking feeling that our apartment was infested with bugs. Upon further inspection, we found dead bed bugs in the corners of every room, but could not find any alive. After a trip to Walmart with just about every bed bug killing product we could find, we sprayed every nook and cranny and laid out the traps in each room. Once some time had passed, we began to find live bugs everywhere. We notified management immediately of our findings and were offered another apartment, on a different floor. Some furniture with sentimental value had to be discarded due to the infestation, yet no compensation was given. After speaking with other residents we discovered that the apartment shown to us had the worst infestation of bed bugs they had ever seen and my mind returned to the manager not even wanting to step foot into the entryway of the apartment. Over our stay here at Heritage house, our cars have been broken into three times, along with other residents vehicles being broken into countless times. The elevators are constantly breaking. At times both elevators will be down at the same time while there are residents that live on floors above ground level that struggle with stairs. I have spoken to an elderly couple that had just got back home with groceries and were unable to get up to their apartment due to them not being able to use the stairs and were forced to stay in a hotel for the night. There was an instance where two men moved in and broke into residents storage lockers, the washer/drying machines and the box where rent is dropped off. The window on the 8th floor was broken, and it took over a week for the glass to be cleaned up. During this time both the emergency door and handicapped parking spaces along the building were blocked off with traffic cones and tape. Lastly, a man entered the lobby and pointed a gun at someone. You would think that after many car break-ins, theft and someone being held at gunpoint, security cameras would be installed. But no. You may lose possessions due to bed bug infestation, your car may be broken into and your safety threatened. Yet no security cameras will be installed and when they think you were late with rent because they didn’t get around to picking it up on the due date they won’t think twice about sending out an eviction notice. The rent here is amazing. But that’s all I can say for this building."
