High Point World Resort

"Very dated facility, but effort has been made to update the units. Ours was a 1 bedroom, very clean. Staff was very friendly. Wi-Fi is one router per building, and with our bldg full we had some challenges. Most buildings were empty, odd for Christmas week. No in unit laundry, The one laundry room was across the resort and expensive. And limited pots and pans, we had to buy some so we could cook meals. They do towel exchanges 2x per week, which is nice. Pool area was clean, they have vending machines which is nice too. Overall it was ok, not a place I’ll rush back to, but centrally located and nice staff. Good in a pinch!"

"This is my 3rd time staying at High Point for a family Disney vacation. The property is older and needs some updates but well maintained. It is very clean, we felt safe and the staff is friendly. It is conveniently located near Walmart and restaurants and 12 minutes away from the Disney Parks. We had a great stay for Christmas. The only thing missing in the kitchen was a cookie sheet pan."

"Upon arrival the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms toilet wasn't clean and the ac filter was filthy, the staff brought us a toilet scrubber. The mattress in the bedroom was uncomfortable, it sagged in the middle and when you turn over or get out of bed it's noisey. I tried the pullout bed, I got the staff to bring an egg carton foam. I set it up and when you lie down your feet are up high and your head is down low. I put the cushions under the head of the mattress to see if it would lift it, it didn't work. Put the pullout up and sleep on the couch part. A week before we came I called to make sure we had a handicap room. There are no ramps, this bedroom is not handicap! High point thinks that a shower bench and a handicap parking spot at the front office, only 1! It might be a nice quiet street, but its very hard to get out onto 192! The path to the pool is dirt and mulch, I don't have a wheelchair but even with my cane it was a little difficult. No plugins(USB) for our phones.(most resorts have them on the lamps). The staff was great! I dont blame them for anything it's the resort owners that need to make changes!"

"We loved our stay! The kitchen was recently remodeled. We were very thankful it was also close to the pool. The screened in porch was a very nice addition. The only downsides were that there were only two pillows on the king-size bed. We didn't ask for more and simply made do with what was provided. The pool pump messed up while we were there as well, but it was fixed within 24 hours. My family really appreciated how fast it was repaired. Thank you to all the staff! Traffic is horrendous but manageable with good driving skills. If you are going to epcott, Disney, or SeaWorld, stay here, it was great!"

"We are staying a week, we are on day 4 of our trip. We're really enjoying the room. Some things are quite outdated, but everything works, it's very clean and it's been quiet, which is a nice bonus. The pool is fine - maybe a little small, but it hasn't been all that busy when we've been there. Love that there are 3 bathrooms and a screened porch. This could be an easy 5 stars if they updated the furniture, gave the kitchen a face-lift and added stackable washer/dryer to the room. One additional note - it is kind of a pain to get out of this place. It's pretty close to the highway, so there's always a lot of traffic - and if you're heading towards Disney, you have to turn right then find a place to U-turn. Not a deal breaker for us, but I'm sure a lot of people would hate that."
