"My June 15th for 1st try on of partials resulted in my having to come back due to necessary corrections to be made. Charlene indicated that she would call when partials came in. Also discussed on June 15 was my financial responsibility. This was the 1st time I was presented with a verbal or written detail of prior and present services. Initially, on April 20, 2023 I had cleaning and scaling of my remaining 15 teeth. On May 25, 2023, I came back for a follow up with Saundra and was informed that the prior cleaning looked fine. On that same day I received a digital impression for partials(upper & Lower) On June 15th, I came in to be fitted for temporary partials and unfortunately, the fit was not good at all. Technician stated it would take approximately 1 week. That's when I was informed of my financial obligation and that I would be contacted when partials came in. Ms. Favors indicated that I could contact Care Credit for financial assistance. I informed Charlene that it was important that I be given a breakdown in writing of cost for prior services and also what insurance would pay. Needless to say, I'm disappointed in the process and lack of communication from the office. Dr. Sullen is still the best dentist I've had in a long time and the warmth of the staff at MLK has always been kind and supportive. Had I been given a heads up on cost, I probably would have waited for insurance be able to help me or at the very least I could have made arrangements to have potential work performed at later date. I have questions regarding the verbal fees given to me and would very much like to continue working with MLK. For a very long time, having my mouth appear acceptable and comfortable has been a dream. I know this office is better than what has recently been shown, I truly believe they care about their patients Thank you Barbara Northern"
