"I been going to Dr. Jones for 10 years and loved him and my hygienist. I missed a couple appts during pandemic. However, I called recently to get in for a cleaning and the new office manager or receptionist (younger lady) is HORRIBLE!!!! No professionalism, rude, and just doesn’t know how to handle that position. I had to find another provider, her attitude and smart mouth was not acceptable. I hope Dr. Jones gets better office staff because she’s hurting his business."
"This place is the worst dentist to go to. They are a complete rip off. The lady who handles accounts in her office only wants your money and tries to get it by having her breast out or wearing tight clothes and I’m sure she’s old. The doctor never comes in the room for an exam . He will say you need all this treatment done just to get your money. To top it off it’s only 2 employees there so that should tell you enough about the office . AVOID GOING HERE !"
"Worst experience I’ve ever had at a dentist, which says a lot. The front desk and office staff is wonderful. The dentist himself is condescending, uncaring and lacks professionalism. I absolutely was a patient. I went twice to be fitted for a flipper based upon a recommendation from a family member. When making the appointment, I expressed I wanted a consultation for a flipper. When I got there, it was for a different appointment. I explained again and offered to come back later. I don’t blame the front office at all, this dentist agreed to the appointment. I should have walked out then. From the time I was in the chair, I was berated and was treated as if I was a 5 year old. I had to return for the flipper because I desperately needed it because I would be traveling soon for work. I paid for it upfront. The business manager advised the dentist that I had paid for it when I came in ( which I had to call several times to learn if it had come in) . After being told once that I had paid for the flipper, the dentist asked yet again had I paid. This annoyed even the business manager. So, this experience happened and before you call me a liar like you did in your inappropriate response to the other poster, you should learn to take feedback and determine how you could do better. Sometimes uncomfortable conversations can be had so to make much needed improvements on your level of professionalism. Your patients trust you and you should be considerate in your interactions with them."
"I was looking for a dentist when my wife referred me here, the initial visit was AWESOME! From the receptionist to the Dr. Himself i was pleased because I’d found a black dentist……so, a plan of action was suggested and put into place, and the second visit was great as well, but the third visit was truly horrible, the techs were clearly confused on what was to be done on this visit, even though it was on paper from the Dr. So after 35 minutes they got it correct… or so i thought, when the Dr. Came in he was very aloof and non committal and seemed to be agitated and proceeded to tell me it was my fault that the techs were confused on treatment…. HUH????? WHAT???? you’re kidding, right? So, the Dr. Starts the procedure and several times i had to let him know that i was choking while he was admonishing me about biting his drill and not opening wide enough… so after vehemently letting him know i was choking AGAIN he looks at me and states “that’s it we’re done” you can leave…. So needless to say i left with a tooth cut open by the drill, never got my cleaning, nor completed the procedure nor even a follow up call to see if I’m ok, going to set up other appointments etc…. NOTHING…. I’m severely disappointed in this dentist office and staff….."
"Despite the reason for my visit, I had a very pleasant experience at Sandtown Family Dentistry. The staff was very friendly and my dental hygienist was AMAZING! Dr. Theron Jones was very efficient and took the time to explain things to me and he was very nice. I think I've found a dentist I like. My only issue, I wished the rooms had a little more privacy but it's like an open space with no door. But, over all good experience."
