"I have been living here for a couple of months, I've experienced some significant parking issues. Upon moving in, no one informed us about the severe shortage of parking spaces or the practice of placing green stickers on cars without proper spots. Imagine working hard to pay your rent and waking up to find your car missing, only to discover that the security had it towed from your own residence. To get your car back promptly, it costs $180, or you can wait until 9 am for a reduced fee of $130. This building offers a mix of regular and modern apartments. It's clear that someone paying $1200 in rent can easily afford preferred parking compared to someone paying twice that for a modern apartment. While street parking is an option, this area isn't safe after dark. For safety and emergencies, parking where you live is essential. I'll attach a photo of a car with stickers that could potentially obstruct their view and poses life treating accidents. All of this seems geared towards pushing the $140 parking and $200 garage parking options, often with promotions every two months, playing the capitalism game to the fullest. I might have to opt for preferred parking myself, but I'll continue to highlight the injustices, inconveniences, and hassles residents face here. It id worth noting that the tow truck staff is often rude and unprofessional, and retrieving your car at night in a creepy industrial area with a dead end is far from pleasant, very far."
"My experience at this apartment complex has been extremely disappointing, to say the least. As a black woman and an entrepreneur, I was hoping to find a safe and comfortable living environment. However, the reality has been quite the opposite. First and foremost, the issue of parking is a major headache. When I signed the lease, I was promised parking access with a provided sticker, but it turned out to be a deceptive claim. Parking here is a constant struggle, and I often find myself having to compete for a parking spot. It's almost as if you're punished for not working a regular 9-5 shift. I was even told by security to park on the street or, if that didn't work, across the street at another apartment complex. This is simply unacceptable, especially given the high price point of these apartments. Considering the proximity of the Beach 25th Street train station and the area's safety concerns, parking on the street is a risky and stressful endeavor. Moreover, the parking situation is exacerbated by the fact that there are always cars coming in without stickers, occupying resident parking spaces. The rules regarding outside visitors' access, timing, and duration are entirely ambiguous, making it impossible to know who is allowed to be here and for how long. Security's role seems to be primarily about letting people in, rather than ensuring the security and convenience of the residents. These security guards are ill-equipped to handle any real safety concerns, and this only adds to the sense of vulnerability. On top of these issues, the ongoing construction in the complex is a constant source of distraction. As someone with ADHD who occasionally works from home, the noise and disruptions from the construction make it nearly impossible to focus. The construction not only affects my ability to work but also further diminishes the already limited parking options by taking away spaces. Lastly, I must address the unsettling issue of German cockroaches infesting the place. Despite the renovations, these persistent pests continue to plague the complex. No amount of pest control measures seems to be able to eliminate them completely, which is deeply concerning. My peace of mind is constantly at risk, and this is not the kind of living situation I signed up for. In conclusion, I urge anyone considering this apartment complex, especially women living by themselves with cars, to think twice. Your safety and peace of mind should be a top priority. The renovations may look great, but they are like putting decorations on a faulty foundation. I feel compelled to leave this review to warn others, as the issues I've highlighted persist, and I'd rather share my experience than continue complaining without a resolution!!"
"So I must say that I am not surprised that Goldfarb properties (Wavecrest Gardens) does not take care of their tenants! They care more about the appearance of their property than actually correcting serious maintenance issues. I have struggled over the last few months with dirty brown water with particles floating out of the tub pipe. Just imagine taking a shower washing your face and in the middle of your shower you’re covered in dirty brown water without notice! Now I understand if there is scheduled work but when there is no work going on there should absolutely be no reason why unsanitary water is coming out. I’ve run the water for 10-15 minutes and think I’m good but it’s so random that it will just shoot out dirty brown out of nowhere. I have made several service requests and maintenance personnel would come out but to do what? The problem is still occurring! I have been told there has been a filter installed recently but the outcome is still the same. Brown water randomly comes out. Google wouldn’t allow me to add more photos but I have them time stamped. This is a violation of the lease"
"Thank you for turning the 2-way stop sign into a 4-way stop sign at this intersection (photo below) as I now feel safe crossing the road. Some residents drive like maniacs within the property. I have seen drivers speeding through the lot, especially towards the main entrance of Wavecrest. Now all you need to add is more speed bumps along the main road."
