"I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and I want to share my experience. When I arrived at the front desk I was met by Douglas aka "Doug." He was friendly, courtesy and professional. As a former New Yorker I was Not expecting this level of hospitality but it was above and beyond. He assisted us with check-in and made some suggestions for local eateries. Doug also recommended the restaurant for breakfast which Delicious and inexpensive. The next time I'm in New York I will be Staying here. One of the last places with Superior hospitality in NY. Thanks Doug for making our stay Unforgettable, Enjoyable and Memorable!"
"The staff was great. The room was small, and there was no dresser, no microwave, and no refrigerator. Decor was not updated. Hotel did provide parking ( for an additional cost) which was good."
"The place is older. but I found it clean. I was well looked after at the hotel. It's a little further from Manhattan and more dangerous at night. But it doesn't stop hosting. It's about 10 minutes from the subway. It has a very beautiful view of the Queens Bridge during the day. but at night with the lights from the buildings it looks incredible. what enchanted me most about my stay."
"I took this picture in room 1001 what may look to be black mold. We stayed there since we had no choice we noticed a couple things the wife was already upset with the room we had to bite our tongue the rooms were sold out in the city and if we canceled our stay we wouldn't have got refunded we thought of leaving back to Florida a couple of times but it would of been a waste since we called front desk and the said no refund. The room had tears at the bottom of the bed skirts they gave us 2 towels in the room 1 roll of toilet paper and half a used 1 with a bar of soup that was already used. It looks as if the room wasn't serviced at all .they claimed after we checked out to have scratches on the table but we rented a car and barely were in the room. I feel this hotel was judging and discriminating against me and my kids to try to pin a damage Table on us when we we're barely in the room. The kids had nothing to scratch the tables with no pens not even toys and the fact that we had folded clothes on them cause of the limited space doesn't make any sense horrible hotel not to mention they want to act like it's a 5 star when I barely give it a 1 at that. The only thing beneficial of the hotel is the short distance to the city but don't get fooled by that to suck you in because it's definitely not worth the stay. They have no in room amenities and when they bring you an appliance for the room they brought a beat up refrigerator that smelled like mold and condensation for the babies milk and a microwave that you have to accommodate the space in the room for. They also claimed they had no Acknowledgement of any issues but I spoke to a manager about switching room from day 1 that I got there and he said he would help a bald younger guy. We stayed the week of Christmas to new years but was the biggest mistake as I travel alot and never had any issues in any hotel. When I spoke to the manager this morning he says we " normally don't charge for this type of stuff but it was brought to me " Room 1001 10th floor The best option if you have issues with the hotel is notify corporate"
"This place is very questionably run. I do not recommend booking an event or stay here to anyone—especially for events. Or if you choose to stay/have an event at this hotel, do it on the weekday. If you run into any problems on the weekend, the staff will just tell you “no one on the weekend has access to that. Only the weekday managers do”. Forget about getting help for lost/potentially stolen items. The staff will brush you off and treat it as an inconvenience. First off the website says the rooms should be available by 3pm. I got there a couple minutes before 3pm, and I was told that the cleaning staff had not even started on my room. I wasn’t able to go to my room until 40 minutes later, but I was told numerous times that the wait was worth because I had a nice room. When I got into my room it smelled strongly of bleach and other chemicals. The smell did not go away for hours. I don’t think a nice view outside was worth waiting 40 minutes for the room. The day management staff do not care if you lose anything. I was there for a weekend wedding reception, and the staff treated my lost/stolen wallet more like an inconvenience. During the reception I attended that evening, my wallet had gone missing. I had not left the hotel before the event and I brought my wallet with me to the rooftop for the cocktail hour and to the banquet hall for the reception. The next morning I asked to go to the rooftop to check for my wallet and they said no one has the keys to go up there before 3pm--not even the weekend manager. I asked if I could see the security footage of the banquet hall for that event, and staff told me no one on the weekend has the ability to check security footage. The day manager looked like he didn’t care about my situation at all while talking to him. He told me again no one had keys to go up to the rooftop right now. Then he walked away and went back to talking to a couple who were thinking of hosting their reception at the hotel, said “let’s go check out the rooftop” and walked quickly with them to the elevator."
