Reviews
"Living here is a blessing. Waking up every morning and coming out to the living room to gaze at the picturesque Manhattan view makes me feel like I have everything in the world. The amenities like the gym, swimming pool, garden, and lounge are perfect, and as a parent, I'm especially satisfied with the proximity of the school and the sports field. The transportation is superb beyond comparison!"
"Kind of shocked to see so many negative reviews. I’m going on 4 years living here and my husband and I love it. The location of the actual building is the best in LIC, never had any issue during storms (no flooding, power outage, etc). The porters are super quick to address any apt issues/needs, and the doorman are very good. The trash rooms are always cleaned and taken cared of multiple times a day, and yes while the hallways can be vacuumed more often, the building itself is incredibly clean. The apts are way more spacious than others I’ve seen and management is very good about communication. Regarding construction when renovating old apts: they always let you know and it really never last for more than 2 days during the week. For a building that has like 300(ish) apartments I’d say they’re better than most in all aspects."
"We loved living here. We had a spectacular view of Manhattan. We lived in a one bedroom unit which did not have a washer/dryer but the laundry room was always serviceable. The amenities seemed to be under construction most of the time we lived here, but we opted not to pay for them when we moved in and so never used them. The appliances and finished in the unit were very high end and we enjoyed them. They are continuing to do some renovation on units but are very good about sending out emails to notify tenants of construction. Occasional problems with the elevators were addressed very quickly."
"Construction Mecca I’ve purposely waited 8 months and 3+ management outreaches to submit a review because I often feel people are unfair in their reviews of buildings. Im actually surprised that construction can interrupt as many calls and peace of mind as Here. I’m pretty sure the gut renovation to the left and right units took 2 months each but the one above has taken 6+ months. Must be an impressive unit. Note to management: send out a morning email blast of units undergoing construction. For those directly below, next to or adjacent, proactively offer an alternate location. I know you offer rooms on the fourth floor but oftentimes the work is manageable whereas other times it’s deafening and there’s no knowing until it happens. I’ve had calls I haven’t been able to participate in because of the noise starting. In a sales role that’s a direct impact to my earnings. You get 3 stars because the location is terrific, downstairs staff is about 80 percent really nice and helpful and the amenities are among the very best in the city. Also the renovated units are gorgeous. With that said- you shouldn’t be charging 100/month when more than half the amenities are still closed. Love the pool and gym but that’s not enough to charge for in these noisy times. 5 stars is directly within your control which is either really encouraging for potential new tenants or extremely discouraging. Matter of personal perspective. Now’s your time to shine Rockrose! Looking forward to seeing you improve. P.S. don’t burden your leasing agents with tenant issues. Being in sales- it isn’t fair, or productive, to have them handling these problems."
"This is the worst building in Long Island City. If you value your money do not make the mistake of signing a lease in this building. Living here has been a complete nightmare. There is construction being done in almost every single unit in the building and the noises are unbearable. They begin the construction at 8:30am every single day. The hallways are always filled with dust and are barely ever cleaned. It is a health hazard to live in this building. There are constant plumbing issues as well and waking up to no water almost seems like a regular thing at this point. Do not be fooled by the amenities and the lobby, the management team does not care about any of the tenants and they ignore all of my emails and concerns. Do not make the mistake of moving into this building if you value your peace of mind !!"
