"Visited in Feb 24’ on business. I previously stayed at Arlo Midtown and think this NoMad location is a little better for me. Staff are excellent and really willing to help and it’s a relaxed environment. It’s also far enough downtown to be out of the tourist madness whilst still being in easy reach. The studio working spaces are great for doing work in peace outside of your room and the rooftop terrace has excellent views. I was moved to a different room category from the one I booked because of renovations and the hotel alerted me to this before I arrived which was great. The room I was assigned (2909) has fantastic views but is also located very close to elevator machinery so has quite a lot of noise pretty much 24 hours. I was ok with this, but if you’re a light sleeper imagine you’d struggle. The product Arlo offers is good value for money and offers a comfortable stay that I would say is a little above average for this hotel category in Manhattan. Thanks to the team for making me welcome, I’ll be back soon."
"I don’t even know where to begin. Let’s start with check in. Randy was excellent, he took care of me and my wife as if we were his family. Moises was so courteous and took care of our bags for us although it was after checkout time so that we could stroll the city before we headed back home. I miss a few staff members but they are the were the stars of the show and I’m so appreciative of whoever hired these guys. The accommodation was simple and all we needed for a couple. They cleaned my suite daily without me needed to ask and always stocked up on water as well. I was even offered an upgrade to a terrace suite. This was a great experience and I’ll definitely be back whenever in NYC. Thank you all so much."
"This place is often mentioned in Instagram reels for amazing views and is totally worth all the hype. My actual rating is 4.5 because of points 4 and 5 below. I visited this place in Nov 2022 and here is the summary of my experience there: 1. Location 6/5: What a location. This place is an absolute gem within walking distance from the Empire State Building (it can also be visible from your room in case you get one) and about a mile from Times Square. 2. Ambiance 5/5: The hotel has a great chic and urban vibe and a Mediterranean restaurant on the ground floor and a great rooftop on the 31st floor that presents a mesmerizing view of the Empire State Building at night. 3. Service 5/5: The staff was knowledgeable, courteous, and very helpful. They gave us great suggestions for sightseeing and which subway to take to go to all the touristy places plus they also had bike credits during our stay. We also had complimentary macaroons and soda when we entered the room which was very sweet of them 4. Room size 3/5: I know we have all heard about those amazing full-view glass rooms. The only problem is they are very small and you hardly have space for anything. Although, the small space is well-maintained and doesn't look cramped at all 5 Value for money 3/5: I came here on an official visit and had to book in a hurry but this place was really costly. I understand that everything in Manhattan is costly but I don't think I would be able to afford this place if it was not a business trip. Apart from this we also opted for the complimentary breakfast option which added to the tariff Overall completely recommended for the view on the rooftop and the location if it is within your budget. I hope I can come here again and visit other nearby places which I missed last time."
"The most amazing hotel we’ve ever stayed in! We’ve been to New York a couple of times but this just tops everything. From the start we dealt with Mark, he was absolutely fantastic! So professional and helpful and went out of his way to find us the best room to suit what we were looking for. When we arrived we were greeted by the loveliest most energetic team at front of house, special mention to Keelan and Kevin who were great but every staff member we dealt with we had a positive experience with. Good staff really does make a difference. They were always happy to help with suggestions on restaurants etc. The rooms are perfect for what we needed in New York. Typical New York hotel room wouldn’t be the biggest space but had so much hidden storage for luggage that it didn’t make a difference. The views were like nothing we’ve ever seen before. There was also stunning views from the rooftop. Our rooms were always kept so clean and housekeeping were so nice and friendly. A gorgeous hotel but the staff really did stand out. We already can’t wait to return and would never stay anywhere else while in New York!"
"I had the pleasure of staying here for a long work trip and it was the perfect spot! I didn’t want to stay at some dusty corporate boring hotel but also didn’t want to get flagged by finance. This was the perfect middle ground—little trendy, little corporate. All the staff were super cool and friendly, even when I forgot my room key two days in a row. The views from every room are awesome, which makes up for their teeny footprint. Perfect for one, a squeeze for two. Highly recommend. Oh! And the rooftop is definitely worth the trip up."
