"It's your run of the mill no frills motel. The room rate seems a bit high, considering there are no amenities and the rooms are hit or miss."

"This absolutely terrifying Bates motel was most hideous frightful nasty uninviting room I have ever stayed in in the Knoxville area. But wait until you get to the inside oh my stars. I could barely understand the lady I said I'm going to pay with a credit card she said $5 for the key no problem. The desk clerk had lots of animosities she was sharp and made rude comments as to how many in your party how will you be paying. I said with a credit card. She said $5 deposit for key and we want our key back don't take our sheets and stay out of trouble. All this was said to me a 60 year old man. I only wanted to lie my head down for the evening to get rest so I could do another weary travel day tomorrow. I would give this hotel a zero If I could buy i gave it a one all the way across the board. My friends stay the hell away from this Bates hotel on Chapman highway good day."
