"5/5 stars. They let us check in early because we had a crying baby in the car. The staff was super friendly and the hotel was very clean aside from some maintenance. The pool and both hot tubs were absolutely amazing! Perfect location! The only complaint I have is the breakfast isn’t that great but other than that I would recommend to everyone."
"Wonderful hotel stay right in the middle of Gatlinburg. Nice, clean rooms with fresh smell in room and around hotel. Even the bathrooms in the lobby were impressive! It was the perfect location for walking to all of our favorite restaurants and activities! We had a fireplace in our room that needed the pilot light lit, and maintenance was there within 5 mins!"
"I visited Gatlinburg for the first time this past weekend for a work event. Almost all 40+ of us stayed at Edgewater. The service was excellent and the location is central to everything going on in downtown. I hear we're coming back next year! :) The room, the service, the breakfast...hard to beat for the price. Thank you Edgewater for contributing to a great weekend!"
"I love the location of the hotel. Close to everything but the parking garage needs to be redone. None of the parking spots give enough leeway for pulling out of the spot and as a person with a rental I was very nervous parking and driving. The rooms were fine pretty basic but nothing that would make me not stay here again. The breakfast was also basic I've had worse and better. I think they also need to redo their stairs to connect internally to every floor because their elevators take FOREVER other than check in and check out we avoided at all costs. I would likely not stay here a full stay again.."
"I will start by saying that I rarely leave below 4 star reviews and will list the positives of this hotel (aka why it is a 2 star and not a 1). On the positive note this hotel provides parking and is in a central location in Gatlinburg. Okay, now the bad. The carpet and hallways are outdated, dusty, and sticky. The room looks like it has not had a deep cleaning since the inception of the hotel. I paid $200 to stay in a “romantic” room with a hot tub and fireplace. While the fireplace was nice, the overall dirtiness of the room particularly the carpet, walls, and curtains definitely did not leave a romantic impression. The “hot tub” was more of a jacuzzi bath that didn’t really exceed lukewarm temperature and was for some reason surrounded by mirrors so you are left awkwardly staring at yourself from all angles. The bed was creaky and reverberated. The AC was as loud as a leaf blower and would go off randomly in the night and wake us up. Finally, in the morning when we got to breakfast at 10:05am instead of the cut off at 10am the person at the front desk wouldn’t even make so much of an effort as to check if there was an extra banana available for us. That would be the bare minimum I’d expect for a $200 stay. Ultimately, I have stayed at Econolodge motels in the rural upper peninsula of Michigan that provided a better experience than this hotel. Would not recommend this place unless it undergoes a serious refresh."
