"Location is great for walking to the strip. Room is very small which was to be expected. Bathroom was very dirty. Was told we would have a refrigerator microwave and coffee maker. We did have a refrigerator however, no signs of the other items other than cups. Continental breakfast needs lots of work they do have cereal, yogurt, Granola bars, very limited oatmeal and grits. As far as pastry is concerned, it consisted of snack, cake, desserts, a.k.a. little Debbie. So if you’d like a muffin, cinnamon roll or anything else like that, you will need to go elsewhere or bring it with you."
"So I read the reviews before booking and thought this was a pretty good place to stay for the weekend. The only good is the location. Yes I understand it is older but even older places can be clean. We checked in and proceeded to use steps at the back due to not a clear understanding of where the elevator access was outside. The Fire Marshall should shut it down due to the steps being VERY unsafe. The dumpsters in the back had leaked food or something gross all in the back. Smell was stomach turning! Yuck!! The door to 2nd floor was taped for therefore stayed accessible at all times! Very unsafe to me. Our friends staying on 3rd floor didn't even have a door at the end of their hall just plastic taped over it. The room was small and dark due to several lights out. The bathroom had mold around the bottom ot the tub where it met the floor. There was mold around drains of sink and tub not to mention hair that was not ours!! Housekeeping couod use a little bleach while cleaning. Floors need cleaning! Neither appeared to be vacuumed or bathroom mopped! For 200.00 a night Wyndham needs to do better. Only 3 stars for location!! Easy walk to downtown. I have pictures but see nowhere to upload them here."
"I stayed here a few weeks ago for an event in Gatlinburg - it is right across from the convention center where the event was located - which was the only nice thing about this hotel. I tried filling out their review form from my email, but by the time I had a minute to do it, it said it expired. I'm in graduate school and we've been very busy which is why I hadn't done it earlier. After reading through some of the other reviews before staying (I had already booked by that point and couldn't change it) I checked for bedbugs upon arrival and both mornings I woke up. Luckily, I found no signs of bedbugs, though I did make sure I packed all my outfits in plastic bags, used my own blanket, and kept everything on a hard surface that I cleaned myself. I made sure to pack long pajama pants and a long sleeved pajama top to sleep in each night, which I rebagged every day. So, while I personally had no experience with bed bugs during my stay, I fully prepared for it, and highly recommend anyone else staying here to do the same. The floor in my room was not vacuumed. I could tell that other basic cleaning was being missed as well because the shower floor was disgusting and when I went to clean it, the muck scrubbed right off with little effort. the toilet seat had been haphazardly fixed with a soda bottle lid (by staff or customer, I do not know), and the ceiling above the shower is not in good shape. there were other things I noticed and did not take picture of, but these were the things that got my attention the most."
"** SAFETY NOTICE: Anyone has the ability to get to your room without a key. You can walk off the sidewalk, get on the elevator from the parking, and go up to any floor you want without a key. It would be very easy for anyone to sneak into a room, which is extremely concerning for anybody but especially for those with children. Oh boy, what a disaster. When I booked the room, the pricing was $125 a night and now is $66 a night. That’s not right. I booked a queen, we got a full. There was hair all over the bathroom floor and a dirty Q-tip in the corner of the bathroom. The room looked like it got cleaned, but not swept or mopped. The shower was falling apart. And I found a massive clump of hair in one our our washcloths, that was supposedly cleaned. My husband and I did not dare walk around barefoot and even wore sandals in the shower. The main reason I booked this hotel was because they said they offer breakfast. When we got to the breakfast, the room had tables stacked in the corner, and there were granola bars and cereal and that was it. I was fully expecting a normal hotel breakfast. I was extremely disappointed. And I saw 2 bug zappers both in use and audibly hearing the zap of bugs that were plugged in the breakfast area and by the main desk. It was so filthy and disturbing, I’m glad we only stayed a weekend. The only positive thing about this hotel was how close it is to everything. We could walk to all of our activities. However there are plenty other places to stay on the main stop of Gatlinburg that I’m sure would be 1000 times better, even if it’s more expensive it would be worth it. If I could rate less than 1 star I would."
"My sister-in-law booked this and what a disappointment. We booked 2 queen beds and got 2 rooms that joined. We think they weren't queen, maybe full size beds. Which was ok just not what we expected. Either way the rooms where gross. I wonder when the last time they actually cleaned. I found pills, (blue pills) on floor by my bed. The microwave and refrigerated was old and dirty. Walls also dirty. Building very worn. The rack with microwave and refrigerator was wobbly and not sure how long it will hold up. The toilet seat was broken in one room and I didn't dare sit on it without holding into the sink. The shower curtain rod was reinstalled multiple times. the a.c. plastic was broken in the other room. The parking was a nightmare.!! When we addressed this the lady couldn't help and said to park anywhere like on curbs but we were in a SUV so hard to fit anywhere. Others parked like idiots so it made it hard to park as well. Elevators at least worked but again disgusting.. The walls are super thin and can hear everyone walking and talking. The breakfast options was yogurt, cereal, and individually wrapped granola bars or some sweet thing. And to top it we had unwanted guests calling around and didn't see them until the last night. Leaving this a true roach motel. I liked the location.but would never stay or recommend it."
