"Just so everyone knows when looking up hotels or searching for one, this particular place is no longer a hotel. This place was turned into a shelter. I called a week ago to see how much a room was for the week and was told it was no longer a hotel and that it was turned into a shelter for families. I am only putting one star so I can post this, so people looking for hotels will avoid calling this spot for a room."
"It served it's purpose. Needs to better maintained. Room was ok but barely any space to hang clothes. No closet at all. Bed sheets were clean but cover did have cigarette holes. Seems like people smoke even though it's a supposed to be a smoke free hotel. Walls had dirt on them and the touch mirror was cockeyed. Paint peeling around window frames and even the toilet paper holder was missing! The even the plastic proctive cover in the elevator sign in the lobby was left on with the address still written on it. The place has potential but needs a lot better TLC."
"Definitely a welfare hotel. The outside of the building looks nice, but it's very deceiving. As soon as you walk in, you hear people yelling/cursing (sounds about right for The Bronx but whatever). The kicker is there are no smoking signs all over the place, yet when we got in the room, it's like you're smoking a cigarette. I didn't even get a good look at the room the smell was so bad, didn't have any other rooms because they were booked out. The staff was kind enough to give a refund though. Next time, I would pay more money for a Marriott."
"If you value your money turn away from this hotel. If i could give this hotel a rating it would be less than negative 1. Firstly, This hotel complete garbage! Its small, college dorm bed, flat tiny pilows. Location is absolutely terrible, hotel is in a sketchy neighborhood, right by the train tracks and the express way, we couldn't sleep it was so noisy. The floor was so dirty, coming off the elevator, hallways stinks of cigarettes. We had the worst neighbors, we heard people arguing late at night, cursing, loud music, constant door slamming, just a terrible experience. The only we liked about the hotel was the bathroom vanity mirrow."
"I had the best two nights here last weekend. The vibe is just so freaking awesome I can't even tell you. Even though they are still getting everything together, the smallest of flaws can be completely overlooked because the staff is so accommodating and I have no doubt that once everything is 100% in place this is the only hotel that I will be giving my business to. The only complaint I had was that my Friday and Saturday rate, while completely reasonable at $120, I felt should have decreased on Sunday, being that the prices are always higher on the weekend. However, when I asked for what the price would be for Sunday I was actually quoted $140 which confused me because I was expecting it to go from $120 to $100 since it was no longer the weekend you know. Other than that, my 2 nights there were more than great. Although I am a smoker myself, I am glad it's a non-smoking hotel because the smell of smoke in the hallways would definitely ruin the very pleasant vibes this place gives off. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. I hope people don't ruin this nice place. I will definitely be going back there a lot."
