"Key points: -Management is rude. They do not care about anyone except for their rent. -There is no live security nor front desk person. Complaints have been made and for the sake of saving money they choose to deprive tenants of safety and accountability -No freight elevators -Normal elevators are not large enough for large pieces of furniture -Package room is always a mess -Gym is too small and has no features for accidents such as rubber floor -Laundry room uses commercial washers that are top loading and have no compartments for special solutions like softener -Vermin are present such as roaches and mice -Majority of tenants have no sense of community and use shared spaces for personal gain with no respect for integrity -Front door does not auto-open making moving in difficult -Cigarette smoke enters apartments through vents frequently despite management complaints -Walls are porous-apartments built without sound proof materials neighbors can hear your conversations. God forbid you live near train tracks -Keyless entry -Amenities close at midnight despite price of $300 monthly per person. -Ratchet activity is frequent here because you can't take the hood out of those that came from it -No system of accountability for packages in package room. Frequently a mess in there with stolen packages being a norm. -Management will never pick up the phones. Ever. Management: (Attached are photos). So the sign up process is seamless (as usual, right?). I moved into the building when they were offerring 2.5 months free. A great deal, right? So upon the tour I was told by the person who did it that this is a smoke free building (see, https://housingconnect.nyc.gov/publicweb/details/2196) and that amenities were 24/7. We also received a deal where tenants at the time could move in with amenities free for the duration of their tenancy. Also a cool perk. However, you begin to see the chinks in that armor when you try interacting with management. So far as the date of this review the line up is: Joseph Klein(head honcho) Kevin W (Building Manager) Esther Fisch (Billing?) Judy Goldberger (Admin) English must not be their first language because their method of interacting is dry, confusing and devoid of important details. For instance, we received an email stating the roof would be closed during winter. If it wasn't for tenants inquiring, they would have mentioned that it was roof top amenities that would be limited-not roof top access. The only consistent emails are for rent demands. Making complaints can be done via email or an app you use to make payments. Mind you there is a processing fee for card payments that is added toward your rent. When submitting a complaint ticket the building super, Alex, often shows his/her annoyance through how he responds. Often those responses have hints of indignance as if your complaint is a hindrance on his/her ability to avoid doing work but still getting paid. So if you move here expect sub-par assistance from the superintendent. Joseph is very disrespectful over email. He responds to you as if you're pestilential. He's disrespected me about packages in the past. Beware if you ever accidentally pick up someone else's package-they will immediately and without investigation accused your if theft and threaten to reveal your personal information to the tenant missing the package so police can be called (see, Attached images). They utilize discreet forms of retaliation when you argue or make complaints. Do not expect them to pick up the phones. They won't. Ever. Laundryroom: Commercial washers. They are not great at cleaning your clothing and very expensive. On Sundays it's always packed and other tenants leave their clothing in there for sometimes hours limiting your ability to wash your clothing. Package room: Always a mess. No system of accountability Theatre: People have made the flooring in the threatre dirty stepping in the seating area without shoes and management hasn't cleaned or sanitized it for months."
