"Great hotel in a great location. The rooms are very hot in the winter as the thermostats only pump out heat. Even if you shut the heat off it stayed hot. Asked the front desk and they said that it's designed that way. They were very accommodating amd fixed it so it could blow cold air"

"I had great experience with the North Conway Grand Hotel a few years ago for a corporate function I helped organize. It was for an addiction treatment organization, and was overall very successful and well-received by attendants and organizer alike. Recently, I reserved a room for a friend and her boyfriend as a birthday gift. The original date was rescheduled by my friend's boyfriend due to conflict in availability, the cancellation policy details of which I was not informed of until I spoke with the staff last week. My friend's boyfriend is currently in the hospital for a serious illness, and when I tried to postpone or cancel, the hotel would not help me. I even offered to provide medical documentation as proof of why they could not make it, but was again rebuffed by the manager, Ashley. I tried to explain the sensitivity of the situation in hopes that she would, at the very least, let me postpone. Instead, she kept referring to the hotel's cancellation policy, explaining that they had already made an exception for us. Just a warning to anyone looking to gift a reservation here and/or may have health conditions that are up in the air and may prevent making a specific date... I was very disheartened to see I was already charged this morning for almost the full expense of the room, despite no one being able to use it, and despite me explaining that I only put my card on file to save the reservation; I never agreed to the full charges. I imagine when my friend called the first time to change the date they may have mentioned this to him, but with my being the cardholder, I'm not sure that seems correct. Ashley was very cold and unmoving in her reproach, and while I do not wish for 'special treatment,' I wonder what would constitute what she described as an 'emergency cancellation' more appropriately than someone being hospitalized for medical reasons, and therefore unable to make it? Not impressed."

"Always enjoy my time here! The relaxed atmosphere, fantastic music, top-notch service throughout the hotel, and the inviting rooms make it hard to leave. Don't even get me started on the incredible hot tubs, pools, and the in-house movie theater with two showtimes every night. Plus, a vast collection of over 300 DVDs that you can rent for your room for free. If you haven't experienced it yet, it's a must-visit – nothing else quite compares. Till next time"

"PERFECT family destination for the really little ones with plenty to keep them busy. Can WALK to outlets and Market Basket. Well designed rooms/storage amenities to jam a family into one room and just enjoy. Hot chocolate and cookies at night time. Best part? The people. Good Service will get you everywhere. And will prompt people like me to rave about you. Bravo"

"Absolutely loved staying here once this year & twice last year! Great service, love the gym, & pool + hot tub in the hotel! Very clean & welcoming staff! The massage spa they offer is heavenly to die for! The mini movie theater is very cozy 2 watch a nighttime movie. Rooms are very spacious & easy accessible. We will definitely be returning here every time we go up to North Conway!"
