"So no longer an Inn it's a boarding house with stinky Jake living in a corner room and the house thief, Rick living in room 14 at the top of the stairs. My room was between the two. I spoke up and got kicked out. Rick can be seen wondering the property in the middle of the night looking to find any car doors unlocked, so to search for valuables. Take a tour of the house and see how many rooms have evidence of being broken into. Nearly all rooms have evidence of being broke into. All done since the building became a boarding house, since Rick in room 14 moved in. Both Jake and Rick are big time pals of property manager Tim so nothing is done. Rumor has it they met while being held at the Billerica House of Correction. Word of caution - don't leave any valuables in your car or room."
"A beautiful old building with it's main areas remodeled, this place is cozy and in definitely appreciated by it's guests. With 17 rooms, each space is unique. This building still has all the charm and character of it's 1773 timeframe, while being updated to modern convenience. It's very obvious money is being put into restoring the place. I found both the occupants, the building manager and the space beautiful, charming and worth visiting long term. For location, you are close enough to the center of town for all the fun you like, while far enough back to not have the noise. And the ski runs are mere minutes away. The best part of the whole place is the little things that point out the character, from the old mailboxes behind check in, to the old record player to the life edge bar in the dining room...and the list continues. Tim, thanks for showing me the place and Room 11 today! Oltin, I love what you are doing with this old place!!!"
"My husband and I love North Conway NH and have stayed at various B&B's over the years but from now on we will be staying at the Isaac Merrill House Inn! The property is under new ownership and they have just completed a major renovation project; it's a whole new Inn! There are so many upgrades and improvements that I really couldn't list them all here. The room was immaculate and comfortable; the Innkeeper was very accommodating and attentive to our needs; the continental breakfast was great; everything was freshly baked that morning from a local bakery and there was plenty of variety. The location was great too; in a very quiet section of North Conway Village and had some great mountain views! We will definitely be making the Isaac Merrill House Inn our North Conway vacation location!"
"I stayed here with a couple of friends before hiking the presidential range, and I couldn't have been more pleased. We got a good price for two rooms, and the charm of this place is almost overwhelming. Wine and cheese by the huge fireplace was a great start, both of our rooms had full bathrooms, an LCD TV with cable, and they also have wifi... Perfect blend of modern amenities and old charm. There's as much food as you could want to eat at breakfast, and it's all very good. Daniel, the innkeeper, was welcoming and friendly and made us feel at home. If I return to the area to do more hiking in the future, I will absolutely stay here."
"We just returned home from a Labor Day weekend to the Isaac Merrill House and we can't wait to return. It was our first time visiting, and we were hesitant after reading negative reviews online. But this Inn was incredibly charming and felt like a home away from home. It didn't have the sterile, corporate feel of a typical chain hotel. The innkeeper Adam greeted us every morning and afternoon and made sure or visit was a comfortable one. We stayed in room 5 on the top floor. It was very warm, but there was A/C and kept everything nice and cool, and we could watch the sunset over Cathedral Ledge from the sky light. Free breakfast every morning was delicious and always on time. Yes, the TV in the room was small, but I didn't come to the white mountains to watch TV all day!"
