The Minuteman Inn

"Very simple. We RESERVED a room with a King Size bed and got a room with two small beds. When we went to the office to straighten it out and showed them our reservation, they said they could not help us/they could not change it. We are now stuck here for three nights. Not a great way to start your vacation. I’d stay away from this place."

"This is the local hotel that people who cannot get apartments live. If your visiting from out of town go somewhere else. If you need a longterm rental and like to to party I guess this is good for you. Don’t bring your kids here."

"Location right off the highway was quite convenient after a long rainy drive. However, it might be best to take care of dinner prior to arrival due to only a soda machine available anywhere nearby. Our room was very clean, crisp sheets etc. Refrigerator, heater, etc worked very well. There is a small table with two small chairs, so we were able to eat our breakfast without balancing on our laps. Our stay was very comfortable."

"If you’re looking for anything beyond one night/need to stay somewhere near Concord, avoid this place. Looks and feels trashy - You can see things like empty cans and bottles, yard equipment, toys, etc. all over the lawn and property. Management’s entire family hangs out in and around the hotel office, kids playing in the parking lot. More than once I had to address the kids playing near or leaning on my car in the lot. Again, this was family of the owners/managers. The furniture in the room and on the patio is absolutely disgusting. I paid $174 for one night and couldn’t even sit on a chair because of the filth. Pictures attached. The shower was some cheap plastic thing with water UNDER the shower floor. Absolutely bizarre. And for that price, there is no pool, no gym, no breakfast. Avoid this place."

"The Minuteman Inn was not my first choice but I am glad I stayed here. The price was less than half of what I would have spent at hotel chains along I-495. Rooms: Yes, this is motel style and my brother-in-law remembers when it was less than reputable. the rooms have been redone, including flooring. The room looked and smelled clean: fresh air, linens and blankets in good shape. I have seen other reviews warning about the pillows; they were no worse than other places I have stayed. Was there hot water? Yes! Did it take a bit to heat up? Yes. The grounds were well-kept and there were flower beds. Location: At first, I was annoyed that you could only access the inn from eastbound Rt 2. But the spots to turn around on the highway were very nearby. It turned out to be a perfect location to be able to get to Boston (Alewife Station) and to my family in Nashua. The center of Acton is not too far and there is a variety of restaurants. Service: Our needs were simple, so we did not interact much with the staff. Check in was pleasant and easy - a pleasant change after dealing with car rental! One gentleman that I spoke with was happy to tell me about the solar panel arrays on the grounds. I can see staying here when I return to Massachusetts."
