"Terrible stay in the penthouse suite. Based on the online photos, it looked to be lovely. It was not - the space was FALLING apart ...walling peeling off, the door to the terrace was broken so it was freezing cold, surfaces were sticky, the sauna in the main bathroom was broken, the couch had a cigarette burn through it, they couldn't connect music and no one was able to help us, the phone in the room was broken so we couldn't reach anyone for help. It was so gross. Do not trust the photos."

"The rooms are a good size, but the furnishing are sparse are very minimal. There is no storage drawers in the rooms, so you will practically living out of a suitcase for anything you don't hang up. Bathrooms are small, but functional. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. This is basically a "no thrills" hotel in one of the most convenient parts of the Theatre District and Times Square. 49th is one of the quieter streets, so the low noise levels made it easier to sleep. Would definitely stay here again, because this place is clean, convenient and reasonably priced."

"The location is good and the rooms are nice, however the service across the hotel is lacking. A few quick examples: 1 - We checked in at 10pm, told them we were using the pull out couch and we had 4 people on the reservation, yet they didn’t make the pull out couch for us until 1am. 2 - the elevators were broken throughout our four day stay and we were on the 8th floor 3 - they didn’t make up our room one day, so we didn’t have clean towels 4 - the continental breakfast buffet ran out of food one morning I reached out to management but did not hear back. I asked the front desk for contact information and they gave me a bogus email. We would not stay at this hotel again."

"What a great little hidden gem in the heart of everything. Rooms were small as are all NYC hotels rooms but well done and comfortable beds. Amazing location and super friendly people especially Joshua who helped with our bags and gave us some great insight and info. Downstairs restaurant and hotel lounge were a huge plus. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!! Happy holidays!!"

"The hotel is in a great location. The rooms have a nice design and staff are nice. However, there were many shocking issues. I noticed my mini fridge wasn't working, heat, or desk lamp. They addressed all but fridge issue. Apparently, the mini fridge doesn't work in many rooms, and I was told to email the owner and submit a complaint. Good thing I didn't have medicines to store. The hotel staff have no records of which rooms have broken fridges and said owner won't fix them. They check you in knowing fridge may be broken but don't tell you beforehand. Shocking for such an expensive hotel. Also, upon checking out, their system was down, so no receipt sent until many hours after leaving hotel. Staff said they don't have business cards. This hotel is SOS! Avoid until they get their act together. The manager offered points to make up for problems but never received them. Owner never responded to email, too."
