"I lived at Prairie Pointe for two years and it was a horrible experience. There were multiple occasions of gun violence on the property and even a stabbing on a floor below mine. The property was always a mess and there was garbage in a lot of places. The worst part is that they will try to scam you when you move out. My apartment was well taken care of and they made up lies about damages and cleaning. They kept our $500 deposit and are trying to charge $100's more on top of it. Everyone I have talked to that has lived at Prairie Pointe has said the same thing about scamming you when you move out. I would not recommend renting from this place."
"I lived here for two years and can say that they will try to screw you over with fines, your deposit, and any other charge they can. They do not take responsibility for anything thing like a damaged or in my case a shot up apt before you move in. Sad to see them try and squeeze every penny they can out of college students. Also was charged multiple fines for things we never did and they would just say oh well."
"Not great, not terrible. Lots of noises and commotion going on outside almost every night, makes it hard to go to sleep. Maintenance is pretty good and the apartments are decently nice. Other than that, I can’t even use the amenities that I’m paying to use after hours because the lock system suddenly stopped working and they’ve been “working on it” for almost 2 months now. Not so confident that will even be fixed before I move out in the summer so love that."
"Does everything in their power to keep your security deposit/insane charges on move out. Doesn’t get back to you either when asking about it. Also, the students living here for DMACC have disruptive, lease-breaking parties all the time and nothing ever got done about it. Do yourself the favor. Don’t live here."
"Unless you want an apartment who can’t take responsibility for anything don’t stay here! This place is a joke and after living here for two years and staying here just cause it made sense for the value! I wouldn’t do it again but the old manager was the best she was strict but everything was taken care of! This year I have had stuff stolen from my car my car ran into and my stuff vandalized and it seems to never be a big deal unless there stuff was involved too!"
