"My six siblings and our children and grandchildren gather here every 2 years for Christmas. The staff is SO accommodating. Rooms are always very clean. We have an Iowa State grad this year so we will be staying there in May. When I called today, Nate was great help when made my reservation!"

"Great stay! I booked a couple of rooms for my work crew and I with Nate, he was very helpful and the staff all was friendly. Hotel has been remodeled and looks nice, beds very comfortable, big indoor pool and they gave us free breakfast from their restaurant located inside the hotel. I've read some other reviews that were bad, don't listen to them, nice people, our rooms were clean and comfortable we had a great stay and will return."

"Hotel looks nice from the outside. Inside it was redone poorly. Bathroom renovation was cheap with plywood covering holes in the wall and a simple hook and eye as a lock. Could see light from hallway all around door frame. Metal box rodent trap in the room. Checked in late and had to request a second room because the first room window wouldn’t close or lock. By that time it was just easier to stay than to search for a new hotel."

"We had a very nice comfortable relaxing stay. The Hotel is very nicely renovated. {we had stayed here in the past} We had a very warm welcoming, as if we were V.I.P.s from the MGR. Nate, he was very professional and informative on our room and stay. The lobby interior was well lit , all freshly painted so were the rooms. Very comfortable new beds [King} TV, window shades, flooring. We used the pool nice warm relaxing. Nate, called us in our room to make sure we were comfortable and if we needed anything else, great detail by him, again VIP treatment. He also advised us to stop at the front desk in the morning to get discount coupons for breakfast in the morning at the {attached} Ankeny Diner.. Wow,, we were impressed by the food, and service of this quaint nice "throwback" style diner. We will definitely be back."

"What a pleasant surprise. Not sure why the bad reviews? Had an excellent above avg experience. Very nicely newly renovated hotel. Great bed tv bathroom sink & indoor pool! Excellent check-in, front desk mgr was polite & Very pleasant, same @ checkout. They offered me a breakfast coupon for diner attached next to hotel. What an amazing Surprise!! Great Large truck parking, clean comfortable room. New Samsung Smart TV. VERY comfy beds & nice sink & shower. What more can u ask for? 10 Stars for great Service with a smile!"
