"I would do 3.5 stars if possible. We arrived to check in after check in time and were told the rooms weren't clean and if we could wait 45 minutes. We couldn't, so we left and didn't check in until 11:30 pm, which went better. Still found it surprising they didn't comp a breakfast or something. The rooms are very nice except for lighting in the bathroom area. It is very difficult to see when getting ready for the day because the lighting is weird. There's a light that shines from the frame of the mirror, but no overhead light except by the door and in the shower room. My wife found it difficult to get her hair done as a result."
"Very clean and fairly new modern hotel. Nice business center with printers. Lot of seating for eating and work. 2 free 64 amp Tesla chargers. Breakfast is not complimentary anymore, you must purchase."
"Room hasn’t been cleaned very well. Trash under counters, trash between bed and nightstand. Found some pill on floor in bathroom under sink. Front desk just said oh sorry. Ok, We have a baby and this is unacceptable cleaning practices. I shouldn’t have to inspect my room for a danger to my child. It should be clean to begin with. The bathroom doesn’t lock. No privacy at all. You have to pay for breakfast? Why would anyone pay for breakfast at a BW hotel. No hot tub, no bath tub. The heat in room is stuck at one temperature you can’t change it. This is far from a premier stay. We won’t stay at a BW anymore. There’s far better options and if I have to pay for breakfast, I might as well stay at a nicer hotel with free breakfast and bigger rooms."
"Rooms are small and cramped. No Bedingfield was available for the couch sofa. Gave aditude when asked about it. No free breakfast. And they have awful food to buy for ridiculous prices. Gas station food cheaper is better than here. I do not recommend at all. It was clean tho. I'll give it that. But that's it."
"We have stayed at this Premier Best Western since they opened. It's our "go to" hotel when we are in Ankeny/Des Moines. Were we shocked when we checked in when we were told that they no longer have their great free breakfast. They are a test hotel for a "Starbucks type" of breakfast. $5 for a breakfast sandwich, egg bites (very dry, no meat even though it said turkey sausage), and $4.25 yogurt parfaits. Not impressed! The Wifi was down, so that was another disappointment. Our favorite Best Western in no longer our favorite. Rooms are very nice w/contemporary styling."
