"I spent my life's most beautiful three years at Alcove Island. It has picturesque landscape, community park within a walking distance of three minutes and scenic view of lake throughout the neighborhood. I lived in one bedroom apartment and had the main swimming pool view. I wish kitchen space would have been little bigger. For those who loves green space, nature, quiet and peaceful area, this is the best place! I am thankful to the amazing management team who quickly responded and repaired whenever we requested for maintenance."

"Alcove is an excellent place to live. The exterior and lake is beautiful. The area is safe, surrounded by plenty of safe walking areas. Residents have easy access to a variety of restaurants, stores, and bars for those who like to go out. Interior is homely and well-designed. I live in a 2-bed, 2-bath suite and the space is sufficient for everyday living. The only downside is that the kitchen is small, so it’s not the best place to host big parties. Maintenance is timely and competent. If I could, I would live here forever. Staff are friendly. Be sure to check this apartment out if you are looking for a place to call home."

"UPDATE: two cars, including my neighbor, were broken into last night. Don’t give me the “crime has no address” stuff because this place and the people allowed to live here have just been going downhill in the short 5 months I’ve been here. I’ve never experienced anything like it. Just don’t rent here if you care about quality of living. I’ve tried to be patient with this place, but I’m done. We’ve only lived here 5 MONTHS and it’s been one problem after another since day one. So here’s just a short list of the issues: 1. Leasing office ignores emails regarding maintenance requests/apartment issues. I’ve emailed them at least 6 times trying to get a shelf for our fridge. They either respond with some excuse, or just don’t respond. 2. Our fridge was missing the middle shelf when we moved in. I’ve asked for one countless times and each time, I get an excuse or they just ignore me. 3. I’ve had a leak under the bathroom sink for 2+ weeks now. They responded to the first email, but not my reply which was answers to their questions. Crickets after that. Same with a problem with the front door. More crickets. 4. There are cops outside my building at least once a month. We’ve been here 5 months and I’ve seen cops here 5 times. No joke. I spoke with one of the officers last time and HE used to live here and said it got really bad once this place changed management. They don’t even do full background checks anymore, according to him. In his words “you don’t know what kind of people are living next to you.” I do not feel safe living here anymore. 5. People do NOT pick up their dogs poop. It’s everywhere. It stinks in the heat and you have to watch your step. 6. The water coming out of the bathroom faucet smells like rotten eggs. Not sure what this is about but it’s nasty. 7. Our apartment was NOT clean when we moved in (I took a lot of pictures of this). Pieces of the floors were chipped away or just missing (of which I noted on the move in check list). I didn’t notice this when I toured the apartment a few weeks prior to moving in. Outlets coming off the walls (see photo). The place is just falling apart from day one. 8. And last but not least…the NOISE. There must be zero insulation in the ceiling because I can hear every single thing my upstairs neighbor does. It’s like he has a pet T Rex up there with all the stomping. If I am in my bathroom the same time as my upstairs neighbor, I kid you not I can him using the toilet. It is so uncomfortable. Imagine getting ready for work in the morning and hearing the person above you peeing. Listen to the noise in the video I included. That’s the upstairs person just walking. If it’s THAT loud on an iPhone video, imagine how loud it is in person. It gives me anxiety to have to listen to this all the time. 9. The people in the office are all very nice but nothing gets done. I don’t know if they just delete emails because they don’t want to deal with it or are so inefficient that they get lost every time. Either way, this is unprofessional and no way to treat your tenants. Other reviews have stated this place will try and charge you $$$$ when you move out. Good luck because I’ve documented EVERYTHING in this place since day one. And I will do the same upon move out. There will not be one tiny mark on anything from us and I WILL have proof of that, including keeping the carpet pristine. Look elsewhere. This place is trash. There are far nicer apartments in the area for about the same rent. I moved in here being unfamiliar with the area. I regret signing this lease here and cannot wait to move out. It’s a waste of my money."

"This is a beautiful, safe and peaceful community with a gorgeous view day and night. Blanca has always been so sweet and helpful and her team is just awesome. My maintenance requests have always been taken care of in a timely manner and they work so hard keeping the common area clean and beautiful. They go above and beyond putting together events and bringing vendors and food trucks to the complex. Thank you Blanca and team for everything you do."
