Hyatt Place Phoenix/Gilbert

"We stayed here over one weekend visiting for a soccer tournament. The hotel itself was very soccer team friendly and helped us block out floors for our entire team to stay. I love how they have a small restaurant and bar in the lobby with plenty of seating. They provided complimentary breakfast which was a perk. They do have a pool, but don't expect it to be large. It was plenty big for a team to enjoy. They also had seating outside by the pool. The only thing I wished they had were more water dispensers or water fountains. We also didn't have lotion in our room which would have been nice to have. Besides that, the hotel and stay was awesome with amazing service by the staff."

"The service here is fine but the rooms are disgusting! The top half of my bed sheets looked fine but the bottom half had some pubic hair. Thank goodness I removed the blanket and looked! I don’t care how friendly the staff is that’s unacceptable and I will never stay at this location again."

"This hotel has been in the area for a long time, and the maintenance of facility shows that. The wallpaper is peeling in several areas, and torn in others. We also found tears in the bed skirt. However, the beds are comfortable and housekeeping did a great job keeping the rooms clean. Breakfast was good. They offer a great selection of hot and cold meal options, and there is a significant amount of seating throughout the dining room and lobby. What makes me willing and even eager to stay here again though is the staff!! Even encountering an overbooked situation the first night (We stayed 7), we experienced kind, professional, helpful, and accommodating staff. This includes, but is not limited to our experiences with 3 different front desk employees, housekeeping staff, and the breakfast staff. The employees absolutely made this experience for us."

"The staff has been very courteous and helpful. The building is very clean and the hot breakfast was perfect to start our day. It is close to places for shopping but isn't in downtown Phoenix(which for us is perfectly ideal). My wife stayed here a few years ago and loved it then and says it is the same great service this time as it was the last time she was here. Definitely going on list of top places to stay in the Phoenix area"

"Rooms were great and the front desk staff was incredible. The reason I give 2 stars is because of breakfast. I don't know what what happened between Friday morning and Saturday morning but it was like day and night. Friday everything was delicious and had a variety of choices. Saturday the breakfast was not edible. The eggs looked like cardboard and the sausage looked like rocks. Also a big negative the lady serving on Saturday stunk like a cigarette. I would recommend the hotel itself but go to McDonald's for breakfast"
