Red Lion Inn & Suites Ontario

"ITS ALL BAD. For those who are not interested in details, SAVE YOURSELF SOME DISAPPOINTMENT and go next door to Best Western where I stayed the night before. Same price $141.94 for my king size bed & Jacuzzi room but NO COMPARISON in cleanliness, quality of room, or customer service. Worst experience in 25 years of travel- 3 weeks later still no return on my deposit they assured me I would be getting back. For those who care: Horrible wet dog smell, this "suite" was worse than any $40 dive hotel. My reserved room hadnt even been cleaned when I arrived at check in, had to wait hours. I paid extra for a nice room, only to walk into a dirty smelly room, no closet to hang anything, no drawers to store clothes, not even a mini fridge/freezer so there went my ice cream. The sink was clogged upon arrival and of course they never got a hold of the manager to switch my room. They asked for a deposit which I gladly paid before I saw the room- they told me it would be returned at check out (lie) I stripped my bed, piled my towels, and gathered my trash (like I always do to make it easy for the maids when I leave) and they never returned my deposit. Worst experience in 20 years of travel."

"The front desk attendant named Liz was super helpful when I needed to drop off a care package to my daughter pretty late in the evening. I believe it was around 11:00 p.m. she was very friendly and I was very scattered from a very long day. She even helped me carry my items upstairs so that I didn't need to make two trips. It is extremely hard to find good customer service these days so it was a breath of fresh air specially after such a long day for me."

"Don’t stay here if want to watch ESPN, Disney, or ABC. Stayed here to watch the NFL playoffs but Red Lion doesn’t carry these channels. Not sure if this is a political or financial decision. Room was fairly clean. Help was great. First time not finding ESPN in a hotel room. Last time I stay at a Red Lion."

"Basic room for a good price. Jacuzzi was hot and had fantastically strong jets which were perfect after a 10 hour drive day. Night manager, Mr. G, was super friendly and helpful."

"The motel was very much below what one would expect. Bathroom was 8'x8'. You had to back around the open door to get inside the bathroom. The TV and remote worked terrible. Press volume numerous times to change level. I could go on. I paid $135 on a very last minute reservation. Others were paying half, more fairly. I did meet some nice working class folks at the pool. Made the night better. Don't go here"
