Darby is one of the best bike mechanics that I have dealt with over my 40 years of riding. If Darby worked on it, then it was done right. Prices are reasonable as well. Therefore I have dropped my previous big name bike shops and both bikes are now going to Bikes For The Likes Of Us."

"Hard to find someone who goes out of their way so much to be so unhelpful to a paying customers but Mr. Darby sure is good at it. Was in the bind, needed rim tape quick, feller wouldn’t sell me the tape. Asked to perhaps run the tape for me maybe ? Leave my rim and tire with him. Upon pick up dude hands me taped rim and tire back .. was too bothered to mount the tire on the rim I guess. Taped over the valve steam and all… I would have done a better job with duct tape in the garage if i knew it was going to be half a$$ job. Perhaps I’m not one of the likes of us… but it’s ok, turned plenty of folk away from your shop since then Darby."

"The morning I left for the Garmin Unbound I accidentally sheared 2 bolts off my stem. Full of panic and anxiety, I called the shop and asked if they’d be able to squeeze me in on my way to emporia and Darby said absolutely. When we got there hours later Darby immediately went to work on my bike while juggling phone calls, attending to customers, and managing a large backlog of bike repairs. He taught me a few things along the way, kept things light with his banter and bedside manner, and got me back on the road to Emporia with an eased mind. It’s worth noting that this shop has more IN STOCK parts than I’ve ever seen. That means when you take your bike in for service you’ll be getting it back much quicker. Darby also made a point to ensure he gave the rest of my bike a once over in case there was something I had missed. Nice shop, great location right off the interstate, and an owner that clearly cares about his craft. I highly recommend a visit."
