"I have been living in the fountains for 3 years now, and I love it here, I red couple negative reviews online before coming in this compound but when i called and asked for an appointment to check availability I got nothing but welcoming and a very good treatment, mangers switch every now and then but quality of service is the same ! its even better now that Hoban management took over, the current manager "Megan" is the best thing that happened to this compound since I lived here, she is very hard working , she puts her time and soul on fixing issues and she takes care of every little detail, she turned the yard in front of the management office into a beautiful garden with all the flowers and all the decoration, she changed pool seating and made the compound even cleaner, she is very humble that sometimes i feel bad requesting things as she is ready to deliver things her self instead of waiting for the maintenance ! she is just great ! Thanks Hoban Management, Thanks Megan for all the work you are doing and what you have done, we are not going anywhere anytime soon, we love it here and we love the service and we have 0 complains."

"I've been here 6 months and it has been a great experience. It's a great location and a quiet complex. There was one issue with the water not getting hot enough for my liking. Within one week they had replaced the equipment and now it's capable of extreme heat. Great onsite manager who is highly responsive."

"PLEASE READ... I want everyone to know that I don't intend to be "that person" who is bashing someone on yelp just to do it! Everything said here is true, and I wish there was more time to tell all that I've seen and experienced. I really wish there was something good to inform the community about but there's not.. This place is a nightmare! My family and I have been here for 3 years and it has been nothing but trouble the whole time. First off, the management is terrible! There has not been a manager, since we moved here, that has lasted longer than 6 months. We have gone through 7 or 8 managers in 3 years. At one point we had a broken A/C unit, and it took 3 months to get a replacement. I had to personally take the 70's model A/C unit out, take pictures of the mold and filth and send them to the managers email just to get their attention! At the end of summer we got the replacement. There are cockroaches, termites, and black mold fills the walls. They barely make an attempt to fix any issues that you might have. Oh, and I hope you liked living In the seventies because that is when all your appliances are from. My neighbor has lived here for like 8 years, and he has given up on getting a New oven because he had asked so many times and they have neglected to address the issue. Needless to say, The oven does not work. Parking has always been an issue for some reason as well. Every 6 months, they want ALL your information to UPDATE their data base, which usually includes changing your Parking space. Also there is no security. I have a neighbor who has had his car stolen not once, not twice, but three times! Pretty ridiculous! Don't let the name "The Fountains" deceive you and make you feel like you will be moving to a nice, comfortable place to call home. There is a 2 foot, pottery fountain that they never clean, sitting in the middle of an un-landscaped, run-down apartment complex! The landscapers RARELY are seen, which leaves the foliage to run amuck. And if you plan on using the pool area, you better plan on putting in 30 minutes of labor to clean it first, and bathe directly after because it is ALWAYS dirty, and the pool cleaner either doesn't know what he is doing, or isn't getting paid enough because the water is always green and smells like urine. As well, There have been numerous instances where people have paid their rent here, and it was "LOST", or so the management said. They have had to hire their own attorneys just to get things straightened out. The Fountains has a rule of not using electronic filing for any of their tenants information. Everything is done by paper, hence changes can get made and important information can get lost. A very unprofessional and SUSPICIOUS way of doing business I would say. As of recently, Hoban Management has taken over. Just yesterday, I went Into the office to give my updated information....again. After I got my new sticker for my vehicle and my NEW parking space; I was walking out, and I overheard the maintenance guy, whose wife is the temp-manager, blatantly talking about me behind my back. I wanted to confront him, but it might not have turned out good for the both of us and I had my daughter with me. I was just thinking how unprofessional Naomi And her husband made Hoban Management look, and that it put me in a bad spot. And, to top it all off, everyone's rent has gone up 20% or more as of today! It was a bold move which has had many people having to finally make the decision to pull the plug on this complex. It is now definitely not worth the price they are asking. They are too run-down, not enough care is shown to the PEOPLE or the property to make it worth it. Again, readers, please know that I'm not bashing, just informing. This is a long overdue post that I hope the San Diego community will consider when looking for a nice place to call home for their family."
