"Room was gorgeous and spacious, very clean, and a perfect walking distance from the main strip of restaurants and shops. Staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Lovely place. Stayed there a few times now, and it's the same great experience."
"Im a female traveling alone and I felt very safe here. This place is definitely one of the nicer and more modern places to stay in Avalon! Its a 3 minute walk from just about everything. I stayed for new years weekend and it was quiet in my room despite the celebrations! The staff helped me with all of my needs without issue (talked with 4 different staff members). Getting extra towels was quick and easy. I was able to leave my bags behind the front desk until Check in. They called me 2 hours before my check in time to tell me my room was ready. Beautiful, clean room. I’ll be staying here again in the future. Usually I don’t leave reviews, but I had to after I read all of the bad reviews! None of them are valid, lol. This place is amazing, don’t be discouraged by these google reviews!"
"1. No big towels; only 2 medium towels and 1 small towel found in room 2. Blanket too thin; very cold 3. Water takes a long time to heat up; water pressure very low 4. Exhaust fan and bathroom light is controlled by the same switch. Combined with the above, makes showering very cold 5. Everything is very low in terms of height, eg door knob, bedside lamp"
"We were on the 4th floor with beautiful views. Don't think the other floors have views but location is great! Just know that there is no elevator. So pack light! Also enjoy the friendly gull, but don't feed him. Views from the balcony are great."
"This is a challenging review because the room itself was not nice and not worth the price we paid, but the front staff was very accommodating and helpful. Our room was on the second floor and it creaked a lot. I understand it's an old building, but I don't think that someone should have to pay that much for hearing EVERYTHING your upstairs neighbors are doing at all hours; as well as the sounds of people walking outside of your door are not muffled by the door at all. Also, the furniture was rundown and dated, paint chipped on walls, and there was hair in our shower, pictures attached. The front desk staff was lovely. They held our bags for us and helped us with a timely check-in and check out."
