"Bought tn 221 black toner for brother printer. They charged me $109! on their web it says $75 and the same toner on amazon costs $55 for 2. I have been ripped off. I called the store and no one answers the phone. Now i know why stores like these are shutting down one by one. No reason to go there."

"I purchased the 7883467 Chair, TSK KIDS at the Plano location and the 114318 JDA GMILL Desk at the Lewisville location both on September 10th. In total I spent $227.30. I purchased the desk and chair since I will start working from home tomorrow. While assembling the desk, it seemed like the holes on the wood were a little off from where I would insert the screws to connect the wood and rail. I reached out to the Lewisville location and I spoke with the manager James who was extremely rude and had an attitude towards me. Not a one time did he apologize about the situation and he barely gave me any options. I asked due to the inconvenience would Office Max pay for their 3rd party to assemble the desk since it was an error with their manufacturer. He told me no and that I would have to come out of pocket to pay for it. He refused to provide the general manager’s information and barely wanted to provide his manager Kat’s contact information(who was not available at the time). Now I have to figure out how to carry or find someone to carry this heavy box of this desk down three flights of stairs at my house and return it to your store. Due to the poor customer service that I received from your manager James, I plan on returning not only the desk, but the chair for a full refund. I will not refer any of my family or friends to OfficeMax/Office Depot to the Lewisville location. So Staples here I come. FYI: not everyone is meant to take on the role of being a manager. James needs to go back through training, and learn what customer service truly is. If you don’t like your job then quit. Some of the top characteristics that a manager needs to learn how to do and even as a human being is to take ownership, apologize, give empathy, and give reasonable options to the other person. The situation could of been positive had James talked to me as a real manager, apologized, and be more understanding. This is a learning and training experience for both James and for Office Max/ Office Depot. I went back to the Plano location to originally return everything. The manager Tracey and her staff were extremely helpful and provided outstanding customer service and assistance. Need more people like Tracy and her staff. I decided to keep the desk and chair since Tracey and her staff helped me. I highly recommend the Plano location."

"I stood at the counter for over two hours waiting on four booklets to be printed and bound. I had been told on the phone earlier that morning that this could be done without an issue as I was adding to a previous order. While I stood at the counter, I watched the employees wait on several other customers. The few times I was given an update, I was told they were getting to my order, but my copies spent several minutes sitting in each location. This is ridiculous. My order could have been completed in 30 minutes. I will not be back. The Office Depot at Old Denton and George Bush was top notch. They should have gotten rid of the Park location instead of that one."
