Bavarian Haus Lakefront Inn

"I stayed here during a September annual truck show and the location has a great view of the Lake and within 1.5miles of downtown St. Ignace. You could walk there if you wanted. Parking was good here. Wi-Fi was awful! I got better service outside of the hotel than inside. The pool was nice, but they use carpet instead of tile which is pretty gross since it is always wet. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the hotel itself needs updates to rooms and Wi-Fi. Was quiet enough even with the hotel being booked out for the truck show. They offer several activities outside on the beach but would be better suited for summer months instead of fall for full use. I would think about staying here again for the view and convenience, but they should make some cosmetic and facilities updates soon."

"Rooms are a bit dated. The kayaks have been free in the past, now you pay $10.00 for the 1 hour use. They do give $10.00 free play per person at the Kewadin casino each day that's a few miles away. I like to stay here, because ALL of the rooms overlook the lake. It was great to sit outside in the morning on the balcony and watch the sunrise. It is a bit farther down from the city shops."

"Rooms were clean. Place is very dated but is quaint. I can say I don't like spending 5 minutes jacking with the key to get door open (no key cards) breakfast is like everywhere else. Views were nice. They do have a great pool and unlike most place 2 hot tubs and a sauna. Gym/exercise room.....um yeah don't plan on getting a work out there a bunch of 80s and 90s equipment stuffed into small room. There are no weights."

"Had a very nice 1 night stay. Ed checked us in at 1am and gave us all the information. In the morning ladies at the desk gave me a bag for our laundry. Breakfast was basic, my son really liked the pancake machine. Ed was there working hard to keep all the breakfast items stocked for people. He did a good job. The pool was nice, clean, and warm, though the carpet in the pool area was pretty wet, would probably be better with cement or tile. The hot tub was nice. The sauna worked though the door didn't close all the way but it was fine. The rooms could use some updating, but nothing terrible. The beds were a bit bouncy, but we all slept fine. The view from our room was fantastic. We were able to open our window and listen to the waves all night, and of course wake up with the seagulls. Overall, everything was good and we were very happy. We will be sure to remember to come back here next time we pass through."

"Front desk staff deserves 10 stars. They were friendly and accommodating, gave great references to good restaurants. Rooms are old but well maintained, clean & comfortable. For 3 day stay we left garbage & towels in hall and picked up clean towels at front desk in the evenings. Location is perfectly located to access local attractions. Lake view from veranda was fantastic. This would rate 5 stars if breakfast was better laid out. We tried to get breakfast on Saturday 8 am and it was so crowded we barely reached the coffee, but we did enjoy watching the lake and seagulls on breakfast deck. Sunday we tried at 9 am, so as to wait out crowd, but grumpy male attended made us feel guilty for wanting coffee. Ended up eating breakfast out all 3 day$."
