"It was my 1 Year Anniversary with my husband, and when we checked in they were nice enough to upgrade us to one of their updated rooms. We were thoroughly enjoying our trip for the first 3 nights. Good breakfast to get us through the day! The hotel itself was an enjoyable stay. Until the last night, when i was awoken by the sound of mice going through our food. Both my husband and i saw them scurry into the vents that went around the whole room, and even the next morning in the hallway by the breakfast. When we brought this to managements attention, they apologized but quickly dismissed it as it being “just that time of year”, for rodents to be in and around my food when i paid for a stay?! Just saying, if i wanted wildlife that close i would go camping. It truly was an enjoyable lodge, but I will not be coming back here due to the pests. I hope this is an issue that will be addressed before more paying guests have run ins with the rodents."

"Nice hotel but a bit dated. Friendly staff. Breakfast each morning consists of muffins, cereal, pancakes, sausage and you can make waffles. Overall a good breakfast. Room was in the main lodge with two queen beds. Indoor pool looked nice but we failed to bring swim wear. Maybe next time. Room was clean although carpet looks a little dirty but it was rainy and muddy outside so not really a big deal. Enjoyed our stay here. Would stay again. End of season so we pretty much had the whole hotel to ourselves."

"Location is good but after seeing prices documented at reasonable prices of 89 per night, we called to make a reservation and was told we could get a room for 150 per night. We tried to cancel after finding something better but were told we would lose all our money if we did. No hair dryer in the room, coffee was nasty and the beds were hard as boards as well as being able to hear everything going on with others staying there. Won't go back there!"

"The room was awesome. Enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub in the room last night. Hate to be heading home today, but definitely glad my wife's friend recommended here. The pool room was comfortable with the pool water a welcome warm temperature, and the hot tub was perfect for the aching muscles after our adventures in the UP. We will definitely be returning."

"The hotel has a great location. Rooms are adequate but nothing super special. The pines are actually quite spacious. Not a huge fan of the bathroom setup but I can understand it's utility. Check in process was normal. Staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well stocked with the necessary accoutrements. No hesitation whatsoever in staying here again."
