Shakertown Apartments

"I’ve lived here since 2019 and I cannot wait to leave. The apartment itself isn’t all that bad, it’s the management that is bad. I’ve had several issues with broken doors, broken hot water tank, etc. that go days without any attention from management or maintenance. Maintenance enters my apartment without any notice, and also leaves my garage door open while I’m not home that contains expensive bikes and other equipment. Shakertown may have good rates on their apartments, but do yourself a favor and spend your rent money elsewhere. It’s just not worth it."

"I currently live here, and the floors are paper thin. My upstairs neighbors like to smoke drugs and have a bunch of people over until 2-3am. They also like to get up and smoke weed first thing in the morning and walk all around above my bedroom at 7am. I've called and complained multiple times and even called Jackson PD, and they're still doing it almost every day. I'd recommend an apartment with thicker floors so you don't hear every footstep, and where they enforce the lease so you don't have to have your apartment smelling like your neighbor has a pet skunk."

"I lived here for 3.5 years in an upper level 1 bedroom loft and really enjoyed it. The leasing office was very easy to work with in my experience, and was generally fair on their pricing. For the area the value of my space was great, and this complex is located in a great location. The only thing I would recommend is an upgrade to the interior as well as an upgrade to the AC situation. I had no issues with sound, and no issues with energy insulation, my energy bills were relatively low. I would recommend this place to anyone"

"My husband and I moved in at the beginning of the month shortly after getting married. The staff has been very helpful answering questions and are all very nice. Maintenance was very quick to fix any issues we had. Our neighbors are very considerate and several even offered to help us move."

"horrible place to live, very poor insulation. you can hear every noise outside your door. The girls who work in the office arent friendly at all. We tried to upgrade to a nicer loft apartment. they told us none were available but if we signed a lease when one was available we could move. a year later the woman tells us we cant move after signing a lease. electric is $250 a month for a 2 bedroom apartment. have had it looked at multiple times and they cant find out whats wrong with it. They only fix cosmetic issues. the list goes on. 0 out of 10. do not recommend."
