"I applied for an apartment here and I truly believe they just didn't want to rent to me. First they took forever to do my paperwork. After 4 days of submitting my application, I called to get a status and she said the only thing holding me up fr being approved was that the number I gave them for my old landlord was disconnected. The number wasn't disconnected and they never called her. Then when I checked back again, she says oh I meant the number for your current landlord was disconnected. The number wasn't disconnected and they had never tried calling him either. I have my current landlord their number and he called them. Then I still didn't hear from them. A week and a half later of submitting my application they say oh, you'll need a cosigner but was told when I submitted my application as long as my credit was over 500 I'd be fine which is well is. Then they say I have to wait a week to get my hold fee back. They were very unprofessional and with most places you know within 48 hrs if you're approved or not. I will never recommend this place or any vanguard property if this is the kind of people you have working you."
"Old Brooklyn is a very nice area and I love the view of the forest near the zoo but things are starting to go downhill and the management does not like to fix things or they take their good old time. Absolutely horrible!!! They are trying to charge me 800 some dollars after I moved out to replace Carpeting and to paint. Do not move in here they are a bunch of crooks."
