Silver Lake Resort

"Upon arrival the apartment had beds not been made and no linen/towels. Security brought them and we made are own beds, not too much of a heartache. However here for two weeks no refresh of towels and then further delays resulted in going and getting new towels ourselves. House keeping is a joke."

"Silver lake resorts were absolutely beautiful and we truly enjoyed the stay. There are some serious negatives and positives in my opinion though. Negative 1 - There is no transportation to or from the airport and they couldn't even recommend anyone to us. I understand that they do not want to show favoritism to any one shuttle service but at least list something on the website. Finding transportation was extremely frustrating and we did not want to rent a car as we were only going to be there a couple of days. 2 - No free coffee except for the little mini market in the lobby. The coffee packets that were in the apartment were for a 4 cup coffee maker and they had a full 12 cup coffee maker in the room. Again frustrating because we were only going to be there 3 days and didn't want to buy a full thing of coffee and filters for such a short time. 3 - It would be nice if they had bike rentals to get around and see the area. 4 - If you have a car there are no problems but if you don't Uber it is and that gets expensive for 5 people. 5 - The website says that they have shuttle service to all the parks but they don't. Positive 1 - The apartment was really nice and we could actually see ourselves living there if we could. 2 - the pool is heated and was absolutely wonderful to relax in and they even have an area that you can do laps. 3 - the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. 4 - if you stay in the 1900 bldg on the front side you can see the fireworks from Disney. All in all it is a resort that will try to sell you on purchasing a time share so if you go beware of that."

"The one-star rating is because they take advantage of people. We were supposed to be given 2 nights for attending a timeshare meeting, but those 2 nights in a one bedroom cost us $200. They also made my 3 year old sit through the meeting. If you run out of toilet paper, it's a dollar a roll. We were there for 7 days and were given 1 roll and 1 dishwasher tab for a family of 4. The location is good, but for a few more $'s, just go to the better rated Wyndham next door. I would also say that the pool was nice. The hot tub temperature was inconsistent, but the bartenders outside were amazing."

"Good location, but room 80304G was dirty, the ice maker didn't work till day 3 (barely at that), the grout in bathroom shower was gross as well as moldy and tub jets didn't work. Since it was chilly outside and the facility hot tub was very small, I was hoping for the inside tub to work. The walls are paper thin. So when someone smoked out in their room, you can smell it in your room. And traffic noise and people talking outside can be heard well. When talking to the front desk the first day regarding the freezer ice maker, they said they would have someone fix it today and no one ever came. They also stated that they couldn't do anything about smoking even though we were in a smoke-free building. I also got several calls and messages from the facility regarding their sales. Even a call that said, "we forgot to give you your parking pass, please stop in to get one." This was on day 3 of our stay. Really? Then one that said we must have forgotten to offer you a free breakfast or lunch, and we can give you $150 or $200 card if you come. This was already offered when we picked up our parking pass. Overall, if in a proper operating room, I think it would be a nice place."

"My family and I had a fantastic experience at Silver Lake Resort. I am a Capital Vacations owner and booked a 2 BR Villa that could sleep up the 8. We were very impressed with the accommodations. The room was large, clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The resort had activities throughout the day - we played bingo at the pool one day and had fun with that. Overall the pool area was beautiful. I didn’t get a chance to use the workout facility but poked my head in and seemed very nice inside. Super close to the Disney Parks as well. Animal Kingdom is literally right around the corner. I’d highly recommend booking here, especially the 2 bedroom condo. If my wife doesn’t have a complaint then you know everything was great! Thank you resort staff for making our stay enjoyable."
