The Knick

"Great experience with management and maintenance team. Dishwasher broke and they repaired in less than a day. Management always quick to respond to email/text. Best amenities (gym, game room, rooftop) for this price range in the area. Neighbors are mostly working professionals and the building has a great community. I moved from out of state and met some great friends living in the Knick. Good food/drinks (for Albany) in close walking distance would recommend this place if you're new to the area"

"Management is not easily accessible or responsive. The dishwasher break down chronicles is exhausting. Lack of communication or last minute communication about maintenance entering. The estimated time they give you for possible maintenance entry is not correct, it leaves you feeling anxious and wondering when they will enter. If you have pets, you need to know, we can’t lock up our pets for 5 days straight for no reason. PACKAGES are left unpredictably everywhere. One of the selling points of this building was having a safe place with cameras to secure your packages. I and other tenants have never received a number of packages. Also, if you want to move here and have a dog, beware that there is NO near by place for your dog to relief itself and it’s not rare for pets to not hold it and pee in front of the building (understandably so!) Lastly, if the fire alarm goes off, you will not get an email or any notification. One day I arrived and everyone was outside and there was smoke smell, I had to run up flights off stairs to fetch my pets. Not getting a notification of a possible emergency or emergency I find unacceptable."

"I would highly recommend this place to live. Great location, amenities, units. Great community atmosphere. Noise was never an issue for me. Parking is great for the location being that you have multiple options wether this be reserved spot in the garage near the building, paid street parking, or free parking not far from the building. I overall really enjoy this building and all it has to offer."

"Been live here for half year. This apartment has a VERY thin wall, we can hear everything from our neighbor including loud music with a strong vibration. The property manger didn’t solve this problem for us even though we reported more than 5 times. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to live here. Save your money for somewhere else."

"The Knick is centrally located in downtown Albany and has a warm, welcoming vibe from the exterior, to the interior lobby and tons of natural beauty in every unit. The All in Living feature is a great amenity, as well as the game room, gym and proximity to all the things happening downtown! Highly recommend for someone who wants to experience city living at any age."
