"Stayed here for the night and enjoyed my stay. For anyone looking to stay here it's a building built in 1884 and don't expect perfection. If you love old buildings you will love this place. If I ever need accomodations in Albany again I would not hesitate booking at this establishment. For anyone traveling via Amtrak the 114 bus from Rensellear station stops literally 600 feet from this place so unless you have lots of luggage public transportation is readily available."

"I am generally pretty accepting when it comes to hotel experiences, but this one has been incredibly abysmal from the start. Doors and structural elements throughout the building are just patched over and falling apart without being fixed in any meaningful way. There were no clear instructions as to where my room was when I arrived, nor proper lighting to see where I was going at night. I was randomly placed in another room that was not the one I booked that you all said was available when I reserved. I received no proper explanation as to why I was moved. That room has been unoccupied the entire time I’ve been here!!! And the room I was placed in was not well prepared ahead of time for use by guests. I was not given a key like I was told I would receive when I arrived. So I could not use my room’s private entrance to take my luggage in and everything. There was an exterior window propped open letting all kinds of street noise through in my room with no way to close it. The toilet is barely able to flush correctly if one fidgets the lever correctly. There are random paint spots on that wall. The shower drain cap is loose. There are many stains in the carpet The TV spectrum app asks for a password when your welcome slip mentions nothing about it. And the free breakfast was not updated or expanded upon the entire time I was there. No hot items to speak of. And worst of all, I have received little no no communication from anyone about issues or explanations until the last day of my three night stay. I felt scammed out of $130 per night. I should not get a Days Inn, Motel 6 or Super 8 experience for that price. I would highly caution anyone against staying here."

"What a great find! Me my husband and beagle Lucy stayed last night. Had the front room in the house. Terra and Matt talked with us a good while answering all our questions regarding this grand old home. In the morning many fresh organic choices were available. It was the first time preparing my breakfast at a b and b but loved the flexibility. Everything was there at our finger tips. Sunday night we walked down the street for dinner. If we are in Albany again, we know where we are staying. This was a real find!"

"We were arriving late, so we really appreciated the self check-in process. The inn is clean with easy parking, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. There is a large kitchen and several comfy seating areas for guests. I would choose to stay here again if I find myself back in Albany."

"The devil is in the details. This inn advertised a thoughtfully appointed room and breakfast space, but it was missing the thoughtfulness. Our room was clean, spacious, and well decorated. They provided soaps which were too heavily scented, but that is fairly common. A first? No body towels provided. We messaged our host after we got in, but it was late so we had to wait until morning & then go get them from the basement ourselves. The kitchen provided frying pans, eggs, and butter but no spatula to turn them, salt, or pepper. There were pastries but no bread for toast, and the jam jar was totally empty (but still in the fridge). There appeared to be more guests than there were spoons so we had to wash another guest’s dishes to eat our breakfast. That was another first. The bed room was facing the front and curtains did not block light. Our room was flooded with street lamp light and then sunlight. Finally, there was a window ac unit that was too small for the square footage. It helped drown out the street noise but could not cool the room. With some thoughtful changes this could be a nice Inn. As is, it’s an ok venue where the host prefers to text (never answered a phone call once). That amount of effort about sums it up - the minimum required- a comfy bed and a room with a lock is what you can expect."
